Which song really grabs the old heartstrings everytime you hear it. The one that brings the memories, the pain, the good times flooding back each time it blasts through the speakers?

There are millions of love songs out there, but which one is yours?

I think mine would have to be "How deep is you love" by the Bee gees.

Now how bloody sad is that :D? Still it could be worse, thank god it's not Careless (frigging) Whisper or the theme from Robin Hood.jawdrop:

Guns n' Roses - Used to love her. A true classic - lyrics belowtup: tup:

I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I had to put her
Six feet under
And I can still hear her complain

I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I knew I miss her
So I had to keep her
She's buried right in my back yard

I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I used to love her, but I had to kill her
She bitched so much
She drove me nuts
And now I'm happier this way

I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I had to put her
Six feet under
And I can still hear her complain

Chorus

Two from the early seventies that are particularly poignant for me are:

You wear it well - Rod Stewart and the Faces. (practically describes a relationship I had at the time)love:

I get a little sentimental over you - New Seekers (Less known but favorite track of mine which again reminds me of the same relationship)

Lol - i have to admit that i don't really have a song that reminds me of anyone or owt either!!

Decent "slow" end of the night, see if you can get a grope in a nightclub/disco song tho i suppose would be - "power of love" Frankie goes to Hollywood......although i was once known whilst shitfaced to sing "Annies song" by John Denver on the karaoke - don't tell anyone tho.....;)

You're once, twice, three times a lady.

How about the very sad Bright Eyes? sung by Ark Garfunkel and written by Bradford's very own songwriter Mike Batt who also wrote the Womble songs :D

I almost forgot until you mentioned him

Lionel Ritchie - Hello

lol

I've been alone with you
Inside my mind
And in my dreams I've kissed your lips
A thousand times
I sometimes see you
Pass outside my door
Hello!
Is it me you're looking for?
I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You're all I've ever wanted
And my arms are open wide
Because you know just what to say
And you know just what to do
And I want to tell you so much
I love you

I long to see the sunlight in your hair
And tell you time and time again
How much I care
Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow
Hello!
I've just got to let you know
Because I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely?
Or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying I love you

Hello!
Is it me you're looking for?
Because I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely?
Or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying I love you

Liked this but a mate of mine from work died in a car crash years ago and this came on at his funeral as his and his wifes favourite song.

Not a dry eye in the church and whenever it comes on it brings back that memory.

My favourite for that reason.
