As you can guess, it's Frank Skinner's autobiography. Was one of my Holiday reads. The paperback is on sale at Asda for a bargain £4.50. It's a fooking proper piss pant funny read. I kid you not you are sat reading it and laughing out loud big chunky man laughs, whilst the people round you look at you like you're mental. It took me only a couple of days to read and my copy actually fell to bits because of pool splashes etc, so I am going to try get another on eBay, it was that good. It's very laddish and very crude, but very well written. It touches on all the sad and lesser savoury parts of his life such as his aloholism etc in an unblemished and non sanitised way and covers the era of the Three Lions terrace phenomena of Euro 96 etc.
I taped my copy up and left it in the book exchange thingy in our hotel reception on Saturday and it's gone half an hour later when I walked past. I bet theres a bloke sat round the pool in Union Jack Swimming Shorts right now laughing his cock off to bemused stares from all the Froggy and Spanish Holiday makers.

Did you go by Tardis? It was written in 2001, published in 2002. Yes, that's the one.
I only generally read Sports Biogrophies, but Skinners is as good a lifestory you can get. Full of self depreciating humour and crude observation. Like I say It's on sale in Asda for four and a half nicka or cheaper on eBay. Go get it folks.

I read it a few years back, the first autobiography I ever read and is probably the best I've ever read! So funny and really well written (with the flicking between past and present)! The only other autobiographys I actually read all the way through were Ricky Tomlinsons and Jamie Lawrences, I lost interest with the others I tried to read!

Try Stuart McCall's and Tony Adams'. They are two that spring to mind as being decent reads. Adams' insight into his alcohol problems is amazing and his humility in admitting how far down he'd got is worthy of praise. Good read.
