Comments in tonights T&A in which he says that the budget for players this year is as high has it would have been if the Etherington deal had not collapsed. And the fact he is talking to interested parties with regard investment But may go it alone. And that the club by the end of the season is going to be in good shape. Should shut up the siren voices heard on here like chuckle Bantam and others who have heard this and that. The fact is the club is on the up and we should try to support it rather than undermund it.

I wouldn't say he never lies, but he's going to look bloody stupid if we go in to admin next week after making statements like he has done.

I've got no beef with JR - His intentions and committment to BCFC are without question. My problem is that he lacks business acumen.

In Etherington's brief time at the helm, we've see revenue brought in from the white elephant office complex and a £2m deal from the catering contract. Add to that increased interest from local businesses etc - he was the closest thing we had to Richmond's commercial skills.

I think with JR we will only drift. We need a dynamic leader.

This is probably true -- but how can he change this? (without locking the door and walking out whith whatever cash he has left after try to fund city and keep them running)
Lets have some ideas - maybe the best could be forwarded to JR

I suspect that his dad selling shares for lots of money in his company has something to do with him saying 'we'll be in good shape at the end of the season'......i.e we won't be any worse off next season than we are this because some of the money will come his way and he'll throw it into the black hole.

I like the fact he's prepared to stretch the wage budget to get into the play-off's if need be.

he's genuine I'l give him that, I'm glad to see the back of PE the hideous - What JR needs is a genuine partner with the necessary business skills to take the club forward - what PE achieved was good potentially but not requiring much other than common sense and takling stock on how other clubs operate.

Business sense, as it getting the the best selling item (home kit) in the clubshop in stock before the start of the season. No beef with JR, but what are the rest of the so called steering committee up to?
