Top of the pops up to the early 80s was ahead of its time. For a short time, once a week, there was a music channel. I'm amazed it's lasted so long. Even MTV and the others are now suffering from on demand videos on the net and many of their presenters are insignificant and boring. It's played its part in history now it's time to move on.
My favourite music tv still has to be music box from the 80s. I wonder if any of those shows still exist? I think if they replayed them like VHF play songs from the 80s, Music Box would be quite popular retro-tv
