Errmmm, no he wasn't mate. He was an headless chicken that managed a couple of decent flashes.

In a couple of the Sunday Papers Yesterday, Gerrard got an eight and he was nowt like either.

Three players came out of the Paraguay game with any credit IMHO, Beckham, Crouch and Ferdinand, who I'd give 8 to Becks and 7 each to Crouch and Rio.

Then you had Ashley Cole and Neville who were out and out pants and not even worth a five.

In between were the rest, where 6 out of 10 is probably a fair mark

Joe Cole was head and shoulders the best England player on Saturday!!....

IMO apart from a fired up becks he was the only bright point of a very mediocre performance!!

We thought Joe was MOM on Saturday followed closely by Becks & Crouchy who had the Ref on his back all afternoon

IMO, Joe Cole played as good as any on the park on Saturday.

Becks led by example and had a good game too and big Pete did a fantastic job in the first half as well as doing what he had to in the 2nd (considering the lack of support he had).

No, just without my Blue Tinted Specs on.

Joe Cole better than Becks on Saturday?? You are ALL having a laugh. Gerrard and Lamps did as much as Cole and that wasn't very much. Joe sparkled a tiny bit when moved up behind Crouch, but Gerrard is still the best man in the squad for that job by light years.

Do me a favour lads, before posting your comments on the Trinidad and Tobago game on Thursday, watch the game first eh??

As soon as Gerrard got booked (wrongly imo) he drifted out of the game

Who said Gerrard did?? Joe didn't either though. There wasn't one England player frightend any of the opposition to death on Saturday mate.

The best England player on display on Saturday was Freddie Flintoff, the man was well on form and was clearly arseholed when giving that interview.

the bit where I say Not one of the England Players frightened the opposition to death should give what I mean away Aidy.

Crouch did give the opposition something to think about though, no fecker else did.

Cricket is shite, why the frig was he on a football programme?

Because he is an English sporting icon and England were playing, plus seeing as he is the current BBC sports personality of the year I think the BBC probably gave him some tickets.

Crouch was decent on saturday despite being victimised by the ref. He was gunning for him all afternoon

And your constant increased talking Bollocks and making things up to back up your points is beginning to put you on a par with some of the more...ahem..eccentric, posters on here.

I said Crouch deserved to be marked higher than Cole on Saturday and he did, as did Becks as did Rio.
