Interesting game. The Dutch dominated the first half and seemed to wilt a bit in the heat like we did yesterday and let the opposition back into it. The Serbs, like Ivory Coast look a tidy team, maybe one of them could sneak in at the expense of the losers of the Dutch Argentina game and a potential last eight with England...
I've always looked upon Group C as the hardest group for the teams involved. All 4 teams are very capable with the Argies and Dutch expected to progress but I always thought Serbia and the Ivory Coast would more than cause a few problems.

Serbia look a decent side, but I don't think they'll get through, simply because they are in the hardest group. The Ivory Coast might sneak through, but having seen all the teams, I think that the Dutch and the Argies will make it.
Oh, and what does everyone else think of Koroman (I think) getting booked for waving an imaginary yellow card at the ref? It's about time they clamped down on that...

Long overdue, let's hope it continues, and let's start on the divers as well.

Steady on Aidy...You forget the C&B number one rule; Thou Shalt Not diss a Blue....
Aidy has a point though,Still a bit light on his feet though isn't he?
However, His performance against S&M though was the best individual performance of the competition so far. he looked a proper danger and potntial key player for the whole competition. Jose must be wondering if he was the same player he had at the Bridge last season.

Robben looked real quality, even when S/M doubled up on him. Van Nistelhorse was kack tho. lack of games for the mancs showed up his lack of form

Well he was the one brown nosing robber above... tup:
Why are you suggesting Robben wasn't the best player on the pitch yesterday? Chuckle said it the best individual performance by any player at this world cup so far and I agree with him, if that is brown nosing him then so be it. After reading the constant shite you have been posting all day such as James is better than Robinson I think you should buy yourself some new glasses.

Its called having an opinion, and james is a far better shot stopper than "I WONT MOVE ON MY LINE AND JUST DIVE ON THE SPOT" robbo
Robben was good i never said he wasnt but he does dive too much!
Opinions like James is better than Robinson are the kind of opinions that attract the interest of the men in white coats.

David James cannot get to grips with the basic bread and butter tasks that any goalkeeper has to deal with in a game. He is a good shot stopper, but Robinson is too. Difference is Robbo doesn't flap like a shithouse door in a gale when the ball comes into the box above knee height or when he has to make any 50/50 decisions.
The fact David James and Scott Carson are in the squad at all, is a sad indictment about the state of English Goalkeepers I'm afraid.
Neville Chamberlain 1938 - My good friends, for the second time in our history, a British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honour. I believe it is peace for our time.
YeadonBantam 2006 -
David James is better than Paul Robinson as a goalkeeper.
Both opinions but both totally wrong.

Sadly after a lifetime of our National team having a glut of great keepers we seem to have hit the bottom of the barrel with these two:rolleyes:
Unfortunately its the result of an influx of top foreigners into our premiership:rolleyes:
