How are you getting there Simon? Flying direct or driving?

Flying direct from Gatwick Nige; £53 there and €23 back. Why don't you take a spin down at the weekend and join us for a game. Just tell Mrs Zonn your popping down the shops and then make up something about a flat tyre and losing your wallet?

Why would anybody want to go and watch non England games??
Why would anybody want to go and watch non England games??
Same reason other fans watch other clubs they don't support, for the experience I presume.
Having the chance to see world class teams in a competitive competition so close to home only comes round now and again. The next world cup is in South Africa and the one after will be in South America so this opurtunity won't be round for a while.

Being an admirer of the Dutch national team and the way they play wots wrong with watching other teams, England will always be No 1 but theres nothing wrong with watching other teams

Fooking Oddballs with more money than sense if you ask me. The games are on telly and theres a lot nicer places to go than Germany for your holidays.
I'd go to watch an England game, but would find better things to do with my time than watching Switzerland vs Togo.

Have you actually been to north western Germany Chuckle? And its not a holiday, Im going for the football. To go to the stadiums, Dortmund's is meant to be particularly impressive and Ive always wanted to see what the Schalke Arena was like when in use.
England are palying in Cologne and if I can get a ticket.
"More money that sense" the flights are actually cheaper than a rail return london to manchester.
Anyway, you were all set to go to the Cup final at Wembley before they admitted it wouldn't ready, why? City were not going to be there.
I went to italia 90 and it was a great experience and I regret not going to france 98. As Rick says; it wont be in Europe again till 2018 so seing as its cheap I think its a great opportunity to see competive international football.
Each to their own though eh?

Nope and don't ever intend to

The Cup Final is a once in a lifetime game of prestige that was heightened further by the fact that the game I was going to go to would have been the first Cup Final at New Wembley, hence my returning of the tickets when Wembley fell through.
Switzerland vs Togo, Czechs vs Ghana and Argies vs Serbia aren't games that fit into this once in a lifetime catagory. Good luck with getting tickets for the England game though, that's a different kettle of fish altogether. That is worth getting out of the pub and onto a plane for.

I was in that particular area of Germany a couple of weeks ago, and very nice it was too.
With regard to watching other teams in the World Cup,I agree with Eurobantam, if someone gave me a ticket for Angola v Iran, I would be there in a breath, just to say I had been to a World Cup game.
I will be watching the majority of the games on TV anyway.
Similarly, when the 2012 Olympics are in this country, I would happily go watch just about any of the sports that will be on, just to have had the experience of attending an Olympic Games.
Such opportunities don't come along very often, and if you get the chance to do it - go for it.

If we got Tickets to Germany for being good at the Trivia Quiz, my name would now be Herman Von Schmidt and I'd be residing just outside Dusseldorf!!

I'm turning green Simon - I'd love to see any World Cup game live. I hope you have a real good time and I'm sure you will.
As meelin says, I'll be attending as much of the Olympics when they are in this country as I can. I'm not particularly an athletics lover, but stuff like that which only comes around in this country once in a lifetime you have to take the chance of.
