Chelsea's Lead down to seven points with Man Yoo still to play. I still think that it's too big an ask, but if that lump of dog cack Heskey hadn't missed three open goals today for Brum, the lead would have been potentially down to two points if Man Yoo come away with the points at Stamford Bridge and with Uniteds fine form and winning run, I think that'd have been enough for em.
I reckon the "Not So" Special One has been rumbled.

Chelsea will still stoll it...Just a shame the Gooners have left it so late bedding in all their new team....
Gooners will be a one to watch next season...Wenger has to be the best pound for pound talent buyer in football..
Only a couple of gaffs in a mega career...
Chelsea will not lose 7 points and are mearly trotting at the moment..

Agree about the Arse, it will be a four hoss race next season. Even Roman's Billions won't save Jose's job.

'I reckon the "Not So" Special One has been rumbled'
Just like Lampard then. Apparently there's growing unrest amongst the Chelsea faithful.

I'm not surprised!! Frank Junior wouldn't make the position of Stevie G's Chief Arse wiper in the real world would he?? Has the penny finally dropped at Stamford Bridge??

Agree about next season, should be a great Premiership title race, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Yoo & even Liverpool should all be ready to launch a serious assault to Chelsea this time.
Arsenal's new crop of players look an awesome prospect TBH, shame their all foreigners thoughtdwn: ...Man Yoo look to be coming of age too, can they be Fergies 3rd great side he's assembled?...one things for sure its gonna be one hell of a battle at the top next season, maybe the title decieded on the last day for a change eh?tup:

Dave - on his day Gerrard is the greatest all round midfielder in the world - no disagreements there, but his value to the England team (and Chelsea team) is just as valuable if not more so, so you comments that he aint fit to lace his boots is stupid, in fact had Gerrard gone to Chelsea there's no way it'd have been Lamps that would have been dropped to fit him in - in relative terms Lampard is actually more valuable than Gerrard - his goals prove that, he consistantly scores as many as a top striker - thats why in a survey done a few weeks ago by a top German football law firm he was valued more than Gerrard.....

Lampard is a great player. He's not fit to lace Gerrards boots though. That's not an indictment that Lampard is shit, far from it it's more of an indicator of how good Gerrard is. Lampard, by his standards this season has been disappointing, Gerrard has been the best player in the Premier League by a country mile. If Gerrard had gone to Chelsea, I don't think Makalale would have given way given he's Chelseas best player, so Lamps would have been the one to make way or accomodated elsewhere. That's solid fact.

So they'd have sacrificed a 20 goal a season player - for a 3 or 4 goals a season player?.... Whilst i acknowledge the worth he'd bring to the team in other area's - it would be complete madness to drop a player like Lampard for ANY other midfielder....

Gerrard weighs in with a lot more than that Matt, he's more versatile and puts more work in too. Lampard is quality but one dimensional. Gerrard is world class at many different aspects of the game. Ask Lampard to play three quarters of the second half and all of extra time of a Champions League final at right back and see what you get as a result.

At the end of the day mate as much as i love Stevie G....i'd much prefer to have Lamps in my squad than Gerrard - how many games has Lampard missed in 3 years - only 1?.....how manys Gerrard missed?....unfortunately i don't think Gerrard will ever reach his full potential because he's the most frustratingly injury prone midfielder weve had since Robson......half a season at best is what you normally get out of him - therefore i'd put his worth at half that of Lampards!!

Nah, I'd have em both in me team, but only one of em is irreplaceable.

OMG how did i miss this pearler of a thread...
How do you rate who is better out of these two...
Goals....Lamps easy...
Work rate... About even for me..Although in games it is Gerrard who goes missing more often.
Talent... Hard to say again ..Gerrard is a good crosser of the ball and better long ball passer..Lamps is superior in the shooting and short ball game..
I would have Lamps in my team every week... Now in the Prem at the moment as last season Lamps is the better player by quite along way.. Thats just fact..
If England played 5 in the middle then the to wouldnt cancel each other out as they do in a four four two...
When England has played both it is Frank who is the daddy in the partnership..To say he isnt fit to lace Stevies boots is the most absurd thing ever.. But when you read who posted that it makes sense and is easily forgotten...
If it were down to you Chuckles we would have a team of players who never scored but you rate...
