Is everyone happy with "God save the Queen" as Englands national anthem despite it really being British?
I was watching a news programme this morning which said more than half of those questioned would prefer "Land of hope & glory".
If it was upto you to deciede, which would be the England football team national anthem during the World Cup in Germany?
TBH, I would stick with GSTQ, i no Loyal family lover but it does make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when its played before England gamesjump: (plus it as a line about knacking the Scots in it! fencing: )

That verse doesn't tend to get sung anymore.

The original version was definitely an English anthem rather than a British one. I'm quite happy with it carrying on as our anthem, although that's more a case of wanting to respect tradition than thinking it's a particularly good song.

Either LOHAG or Jerusalem would do fo me.

Quite happy to stick with GSTQ, but if it were to change would go for LOHAG.

Land of hope and glory is shit - unless your gonna play the full version - ala the last night of the proms!!
I quite like GSTQ - if not, Jerusalem....
