Great result for Arsenal and the youngsters who made it look easy against a team running away with their league at the moment..

Imho tonights game proved Arsene Wenger is far and away the best manager the Premiership has ever seen, and ever likely to see as well. His bad buys in the transfer market have been few and far between(Francis Jeffers, oops!)and the way he's completely re-built the team and got a bunch of kids to perform as well as that at the top level is amazing. Sir Alex, 'the chosen one', pah!

Btw, I mentioned that Mboobywooby(I still don't know his name) bloke weeks ago after the Wigan and Real Madrid away game, what a player he is. He's that good I reckon he's been watching our very own Darren 'Dazzler' Holloway.

To be fair to Arsene, at the time of purchase Jeffers was a Rooneyesque up and coming player that was performing to a high level. The only criticism you could probably level at Wenger is that by ignoring Jeffers for first team football probably set him back on the road to the pish poor level he's at now, but at the time, he would have been seen as a good buy.

Great performance by Wengers boys...

Viera out, + the other two as well.. 2-0 up..

A master class on how to play European football for all..

Although saying that the tie is far from over IMHO....

Lets hope they get an early one out there...

Glad we have one rep in this comp still...

Do the winners get auto bye again....Possibly the ONLY way Wengers boys will get back in...

Spurs looking tidy for that 4th spot....

That said i must admit i was impressed with Arsenals back four looked very healthy for one semingly thrown together..

Was also good to see Arsenal fight for the ball all the time as well as playing their usual fluid football again...

Top football..jump: jump: tup:

'Do the winners get auto bye again....Possibly the ONLY way Wengers boys will get back in...'

The way I heard it after the game, if Arsenal win it and don't finish in the top four Spurs will definitely miss out. If that's the case UEFA have obviously ruled that the defending champions automatically qualify, and as we are only allowed four teams in next seasons competition, Spurs, Blackburn, Bolton etc will be knackered even if they finish fourth.

'Spurs looking tidy for that 4th spot....'

I must admit, the luck they're having at the moment they look nailed on. However, if they keep playing as p**s poorly as they have been recently they'll be lucky to qualify for the UEFA Cup! jump: (Me no like Spurs)

heh heh heh - wouldn't it be funny if the gooners won it and prevented Spurs from entering in 4th place (which is DEFINATELY the scenario this time round)......:D The yids will be crying into their kosher beer for months....:D

Wouldnt be right though...Whether you like em or not..

If Spurs finish 4th they should be in....Arsenal should have to go the Liverpool route...

Thats the only fair way...Other wise places should be decided only at the end of the whole football calender...

I know what your saying, but this time round everyone knew the score - the same can't be said for last season!! I don't particularly have owt against Spurs, there would be something funny tho in Spurs reaching the champs league for the 1st time ever - only to be thwarted by their arch-rivals....

Bit naive that Matt, everyone signed up to that idea of Winners not going through automatically...Liverpool were in the loop as were everybody else...Its the fact that they won that they went crying to the football gods...

This year will see the same thing from Spurs and i wouldnt be suprised if Legal action came from it...

Good enough for one etc....Its bound to happen as the cash lost by Spurs would be quite high...

Na, last season was a test case, a one off. This season the rules are set in stone tone. Which means if Arsenal win the CL and Blackburn finish fourth it would be a bit unfortunate because I would have liked to have popped over the border and seen a few games.

Thing is mate the UEFA guy who did the "no free lunches" speech about Liverpooll quoted the rules for the comp last term and it stated that the winners would not go through the following season and all parties had signed up to that...

They gave in to Liverpool and now all clubs will do the same and must be given that same chance if he was telling the truth mate...

I knew it would have to come back to bite as more and more and getting further yet not requalifying...

We shall see though ...

If Arsenal win the CL and finish outside the top 4. The fourth place team misses out. No comebacks, that's what's happening end of.

Should've been the same last year tbh, would have saved Everton a shit load of embarrasment.
