It's a loaded question tone, because he's not. He's England's third choice striker because that's what tactics dictate. but not the third best. He's third choice on merit too, but is he a better footballer than say Defoe or Ashton,, then no he's not.

However he's better than a lot of others in the frame like Bent and Heskey. I notice you didn't have the balls to make that your poll, or a poll to ask if he's in the squad on merit. Which proves that you know you are once again BEATEN by the Chuckle!

You dont take your 5th 6th or 7th fooking best unless you the others are injured... Otherwise it sort of like defeats the object when the others infront of you are better at scoring, heading playing others in etc etc...

I think Wykie in disguise got it spot on fellas, he's not the 3rd best striker in England, but he will go because he's different to the others.
Why take Bent when we have Defoe & Owen???...they are all similar in playing style.

Bestest shmestest, it doesn't matter who's the best, it's what Sven thinks they can offer England that counts, and that's why Crouch will be the third name on Svens forrad list.

Defoe doesnt seem to have progressed and isn't playing every week, but will definitely go. Like Bent, Johnson has zero international experience, and the same applies to almost every other contender. Therefore I would take Vassell, who imho has never let England down in the past, and my wild card would be either Roberts, Beattie, Davies or Ashton :eek: !!! And right now I'd pick Roberts. :eek::eek::eek:
