Well it's not in any of the press right now. Started by someone on the OMB who didn't even post it in "Ask the club". So unless we get some kind of official confirmation from the press or the club, I'm taking this with a pinch of salt.
I can understand him being miffed though and wanting to leave.

If it were up to him there would be no way he'd leave at the moment - not whilst theres a chance Todd could be sacked soon - which IMO if we loose tomorrow night will happen on Weds!! He'd probably be the best option for caretaker manager till the end of the season should Turd go - and he knows it!!

To be honest I wouldn't mind seeing him as caretaker manager. The Millwall fans were very upset when he was fired at the beginning of the season, due to some board power struggle.

aye he's shite Beer ? , must be why he has over 220 goals so far in his career - still looks fitter than most of the other City players .

maybe Todd has chased him out of town because he fears for his job??? Knowing Steve being around could make it easy for Julian to appoint a successor.....

Claridge was not sacked because of some power struggle he completly messed uo pre season training and the players complained to the board.

There were a few stories coming out at the time, but didn't the former chairman,Theo Paphitis disagree with the board who appointed Claridge, and when he sacked the board and came back to power, one of his first actions was to fire him?

watching city training this morning the first team squad where running and sprinting around the playing fields at apperley bridge leading the pack by a mile was steve claridge timing himselve by a stop watch if you could have seen the efforts and happy go lucky attitude of cetain other players it would make you weep looked like he was making a point to a watching todd to show himm what was needed what a pantomine seems like todd is bigger than the club at the moment

He could teach a lot of the players (and staff) a thing or two with his attitude - whilst he's obviously passed his best, he's still an excellent pro who's good to have around the place.....TBH i'd rather have a pro like him in the dressing room than gobshite Windass and wet lettuce Wetherall....

Absolutley BIN, he could travel up from Somerset on match day mornings to give a team talk, alternately he could do it on Sky sports1 the night before.

Well I think if he got the job (which I doubt) he would have no choice but to move north.
To be honest I'm amazed that club even allowed him to play for us in the first place with that arrangement.

I agree and I believe it's also a farcical situation to have neither of Saturdays first choice strike force training, practicing set pieces or getting training ground brotherly bonding with the squad.

I guess that goes to prove just how desperate things are at VP these days :(

Your both right BiN and Neddy, Theo wanted him out and he got some players nerves by telling them they were rubbish and had to train harder. Some players went to Theo who not only sacked Clarridge, but forced the resignation of chariman Burnage.
I reckon Claridge as caretaker would be ok, but i dount he would be interested as he earns decent money off the telly and radio and wont move from the south.

In my opinion Todd should never of signed anyone who wasn't going to train with the club in the first place, it's all good and well having a player training on his own but how is he going to form partnerships or gain an understanding with the team.

the problem is the quality coming from the players around him is lacking somewhat - Wilbraham looks like a poor mans Symes to me .
