How many 2nd chances does Todd need?
If he doesn't go today then JR may as well tell GG to start planning a supermarket or something to replace VP and he should start an "Everything must go" sale of the players and the club shop merchandise.
Just checked and he is still here, I can't believe it

He won't go today with a game tomorrow night. If we lose tomorrow (god forbid) i think his position is untenable and JR will have to act

He may go at the end of the season, but I doubt he will go before then.
We are inching our way towards safety. Don't forget that this may have been a loss, but the game before against Bournemouth was a win. It might be one step forward for two steps back at the moment, but if we can win one in three it will be enough to see us safe.
4th from bottom is held by Gillingham, who have 41 points from 37 matches. Projecting that to 46 matches gives them 51 points. We have 45 points from the same number of matches - we only need to achieve 2 wins from the next 9 games to be on 51 points, and we would have a superior goal difference.
To be reasonably safe we need to get 8 points from the next 9 matches. Over the last 10 we have got 11 points, or 1.1 points a match. That gives us another 10 points from the next 9 games on current form.
We will finish on around 55 points, and we will be 4 or 5 places off of relegation.
Todd is not going to go at this stage unless that form seriously collapses - you would need to see another 4 or 5 losses on the trot in my opinion for his position to be under serious threat.

I know what your saying but can JR afford to let the crowds keep dropping when he's going on about wanting even more season ticket sales in the summer

He can afford that more than taking a chance on us being relegated. With only 9 matches left there isn't time for a new manager to make a substantial difference, and Todd will be able to pick up the points needed to keep us in the division.
If Rhodes feels that the manager is a potential hindrance to season ticket sales then he can still sack him at the end of the season when safety is assured. The people who are saying they won't renew while Todd is manager would then still have a couple of months to get their season tickets, and the vast majority still would.
I wouldn't be sacking Todd now if I was Rhodes. Whether it happens at the end of the season will be dependent on the feelings of this new investor, if he exists and if the deal goes through.
If it's just down to Rhodes then I don't think Todd will get sacked at the end of the season either.

After Saturdays game i think Todd has now lost the fans, can Julian afford to keep him after the end of the season at least when he needs the finances in
Baldbantam,
In your opinion what kind of damage do you think Colin Todd is doing to the potential season ticket sales next season.
The odd away win is all well and good in our battle against relegation but it's not going to inspire any sales of season tickets no matter how cheap they are with the tripe served up week in week out. We could all see Saturdays defeat was coming for a long time, better finishing by several of the other teams we have played at home this season and more games would of been over at half time. The Bristol game was a example of that and they should of been leading 3 or 4 nil at half time.
It's a catch 22 situation, if Todd stays after the Early Bird discount scheme people may not renew because of the rubbish seen this season under Todd, Then if Todd is sacked after the Early Bird discount has finished people may not renew because of the extra they will have to pay.
1 home win in 5 Calendar Months is absolutely garbage no matter what way you dress it up and will not inspire people to part with their money. The diehards will be there whatever but some people go to be entertained, and their is not much entertainment to be had at Valley Parade.

Early Bird schemes have been extended before at this club, and if it really seems like a potential stumbling block I'm sure they could be again.
To be honest, I don't think we are far off of our hardcore level of support now. We've been through 2 administrations and 2 relegations in the last 5 years. The glory supporters are long gone.
If Todd is still here next season, it might knock 500 off the gate. Then again, it might not.
If Todd gets sacked at the end of the season rather than now then I don't think it will make any sizeable difference to season ticket sales for next year. I do think that being relegated down a division would make a bigger difference than Todd still being here.

i am skint, i cannot really afford my season ticket, and i will not renew unless todd goes, but if he does go then i will find the funds and pay full for my ticket, call me disloyal whatever but im not prepared to jeopordise and sacrifice other commitments, pastimes etc for something which i may not enjoy!

And if Todd gets sacked at the end of the season, will you renew then?

I honestly believe a lot of people will think twice about renewing after some of the dross we've seen this year which will impact on what can be achieved next year
Against Brentford this season 800 season tickets holders didn't bother to show up, thats people who have paid for their tickets in advance.
This Tuesday will be a good indication of how fed up the fans are, Football on the TV, we've just been battered and we have 1 home win in 5 months, the only thing saving City is that tickets may of been sold in advance because the game was suposed to be on a Saturday.
Remember hardly anyone turned up for the Barnsley Cup game, and Tuesday could see something similar.
The prospect to sitting in the cold on a Tuesday night watching shite is something I'm still undecided on doing.
Todd is clueless, the potential is there but the players can't be arsed and no doubt all those who didn't give a toss Saturday will be starting tomorrow, no wonder they don't care.

I've no doubt it will be a low attendance on Tuesday, but unless we were actively involved in a promotion push it would have been so anyway. Whilst there may be some reflection on feelings towards the manager, you were always looking at potentially one of the lowest crowds of the season.
The crowd announced will probably be reasonable, because as you say quite a few tickets will have been sold in advance and they will count season ticket holders anyway. Actual people in the ground may well be down. I'm going, but the 2 who normally go with me aren't.
What is the main income of Bradford City?
Answer - Gate Receipts.
People can bang on all they want about our away form being one of the best in the division but what we do away from home has little to no bearing on our attendances at home.
4 Wins in 18 Home games is the worst in the division! Is asking for a better record than this expecting too much? Are our expectations that we should not have the worst home record in the league too ambitious?
How many fans is a record like this likely to attract?
This is simply woeful, you have to generate income at home and a record like this will not attract sponsors, fans or any investment. I'm not expecting too much for a better home record and if Todd can't deliver it he should be shown the door.
