Bradford City 1 Oldham Athletic 4
Valley Parade
March 18, 2006
Attendance: 7,959
Report
The Bantams produced the sort of display which will ensure they remain deep in a relegation dogfight.
Their first half performance was as bad as they have produced all season at Valley Parade (yes, I know there've been some awful ones) and had the fans streaming for the exits long before the finish.
There was no hiding place for manager Colin Todd, especially after an error strewn opening 45 minutes which ended with Oldham leading 3-0.
The introduction of Lewis Emanuel and Danny Cadamarteri just before the interval for the totally inept Owen Morrison and the out-of-sorts Steve Claridge at least paved the way for a better second half showing.
It resulted in a goal on home debut for Aaron Wilbraham on 50 minutes from a near post header but seldom did the Bantams look like really making a serious comeback.
Their misery was completed when Luke Beckett capitalised on a dreadful blunder by Darren Holloway to round Donovan Ricketts for Athletic's fourth eight minutes from time.
The final whistle brought the loudest chant yet of 'Todd out' and even his biggest backers will struggle to make a case out for him to remain in charge much longer after this shambolic effort.
