to me he lacks that bit of extra desire to play to his potential , he seems confident enough but loses it when approaching the goal area .

He can do everything expected of a striker until,he gets near the goal and thats when it goes tits up for him.Take Lineaker he never scored spectacular goals,but he scored plenty.Its all about awareness and vision.Look back at Dean Saunders career,he ran over every blade of grass during 90 minutes,but scored very few goals.Heskey is another with pace and can hold the ball up well,but when it comes to scoring goals his goals to games ratio is shite.

Can't fault his recent workrate but he never looks like scoring goals and seems to do all his stuff 30 to 40 yards from goal whereas the likes of cooke, claridge etc at least try to hold the ball up in the pen area
