Great game - great scoreline - could they make the last 8? What an achievement that would be - saw a stat today - they have by far the smallest wage budget of any teams left in it, a budget thats less than 15% of Chelsea and Barcelona's - could they get further than one of em?....!!

You were OK till you posted that ;)

'No chance of scoring again over there'

Eh??? I take it you didn't see ******* Boyds *******... ******* fresh air shot from ******* two ******* yards???

God forbid you were watching the Chelsea game???  ;)

Wee Bazza was awesome, him and young Burke deserved better. It wasn't as though Villareal were a poor team either. They've battered Everton, knocked out Man U who couldn't beat them and failed to score against them both home and away, and drew and beat Liverpools opponents and first leg conquerers Benfica.

Hardlines 'Eck, and thanks for the memories.

I think the phrase you are searching for is;

Back down to Earth with an Almighty Crash!

Should gloat but have to admit I rather wanted the blue nosed bassas to get through tonight, if only to show that a very mediocre SPL side can out gun the self titled big guns from the PL. All the jibes about the SPL being at the level of Div1 look a bit daft now.
Anyhow I'll be glued to sky on thurs night for the "game of the year" Dundee v Hamilton for the honour of playing Gretna in the semi final. F*cking 'ell aint life grand!
My 3 teams...City
Dundee, just out of admin, just relegated, crap team with an unpopular manager and a tw*t of a chairman with no money.
Scotland...'nuff said.
Anyone else attached to a bigger bunch of losers, please let me know I need cheering up!

Yeah, yer right, silly me eh? I forgot, performing at the same stage as Barcelona, Juventus, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Arsenal, AC Milan, Liverpool and Bayern Munich and going out to a 1-1 draw away at Villareal is definitely on a par with a, 'back down to earth', 'shattering 5-0 defeat at the hands of Artmedia Bratislava in Slovakia' aint it???

I wish I could help lino, but even the smallest clubs in my golf bag, Stenhousemuir and Morecombe are having good seasons. :D

Here lino, I started watching the Dundee/ Hamilton game with fifteen minutes to go and very enjoyable it was too. Although I'll admit the only reason I stuck with it was because ex-City legend, ahem, Juano scored the first goal for the 'Accies'.

Where on earth did your lot get their defence from? Kin hell, they all looked like nightclub bouncers on bail facing assault and battery charges!

Finally, am I losing my mind or did Dundee used to play in dark blue? Only that black and white kit isn't very nice is it???

lino

It's definitely dark blue Ranger...very dark blue. There were a few players who looked straight out of the prison 11. Bobby Mann must be about 57 and weigh about 20 st but he played well. At last I can say I feel proud after a game, City and Dee have been shite all season so far. Now all we've got to do is f*ck up against Gretna and normal service can be resumed! It'll be pick your seat at Hampden for that one! Even if the whole of Gretna turns up they'll only fill a dug out.

I saw a programme a while back about 2 blokes who follow Gretna everywhere , they are the away fans in total , or they were then !

Rumour has it that Miles whatsisface, Gretna's owner has block bought 20k tickets to be distributed free around the region, so there may well be more in Gretna's end than Dundee's! They'll certainly be the popular choice for the final and, to be honest, the way Dundee have been this season I can't see us getting past the semi.

Snap out of it man! Your teams in a semi-final against a bunch of sheep herders and roof thatchers for Christs sake, it'll be a piece of cake. Mark my words, that young kid McDonald will take them to the cleaners.

Btw, I'm not having it lino, that kit is black! Sad I know, but I had it on freeze frame and even played about with the colour, brightness and contrast buttons. :o

As you well know Ranger, it's a very special dark blue, unique to the Dees known locally as bluke. Daft thing is, the socks were deffo dark blue.
I can't say I particularly like this kit though.
May be yer needn a new telly!

Now that is funny as fooooooooooooook...PMSL....

Its a cup competition ffs... Milwall got to the final of the best Cup in the world...Harldy meant they were one of the best teams in the world....hahahahahaha

lino

FA cup...best in the world, that'll be why the big guns rest half their best players, so they're fresh for the Champs league. We're talking about the European Cup not a domestic. Do try and keep up old chap, maybe catch up on some sleep and then come back with a better comparison.
Anyway, I'm glad to have cheered you up, roll on Monday eh?

Try Monaco then Lino old chap!!!!! Best team in Europe????

Or Porto maybe... The list is long matey...

The best teams dont always make it all the way... The fact Chelsea were beaten by probably the best team in the World at the moment doesnt help your statement...

Rangers are shite but they progressed... Benfica are an average side who has knocked out Liverpool and Man Utd, would they even finish Top 10 in the Prem...I doubt it...

But hey thanks again Lino...

So just remind me of the relevance of the FA cup and Millwall.
Your specialist subject seems to be missing the point.
No thanks needed, just glad to be of service.

Spin that how you like Lino and im sure you will ....

Rangers are crap, and to even think that by getting a round further than Chelsea or Man utd etc could make that change is by far the funniest thing i have ever read on here...Once again i pmsl at you...:D
