with our 'alledged' best team on the pitch and the boy wonder playing 'in the hole' where he's most effective and can run at people, the Uruguayans concede 65% of possession to us and procede to stroll through the game without a care in the world. You wouldn't think that throwing on the most useless centre forward in the PL and playing with two wide men pinging crosses into the box in an old fashioned 4-4-2 would make such a difference would you???
Rumour has it Sven refused to do any post match interviews and is currently locked in the Anfield boot room with a computer searching for confused.com..

Watched a different game to the rest of us again then?? The most useless striker in the premiership started the game and got 80 minutes, or so it appeared watching him run around like a bonceless bantam.

Sorry, I forgot the quotation marks, it should have read 'useless', as in other people have said it. Didn't tony d spend one night last week telling us how sheeite he was?
On the evidence of last night I'd be tempted to play him from the off alongside Owen with Rooney deeper infront of a four man midfield and three centre backs, and they would all play in what I'd call, a fear ye not World Cup winning gung ho stylee.
Alas, Sven's in charge so Beckham and Ferdinand will remain. So I just hope and pray we get lucky with the players and system that never seems to work very well. :(

Ferdinand wants dropping, Beckham does not. The rest I agree with.
Beckham is not what he used to be but I can't see anyone better we have got on the right of midfield, and don't say Shaun Wright Phillips as he can't even get in the Chelsea side unless they are playing cup games.
When the new manager comes in he has to make a brave desision and tell Beckham he isn't going to be captain no more and pass the arm band to Steven Gerrard if England are going to move forward.

I think Beckham expects to lose the Captaincy under the new man. He's already said as much. However it would be plain daft to change skipper this close to the tournement. I'd drop Owen as Vice Captain now though. He dosen't lead and always looks uncomfortable when skippering the side.
Gerrard and Terry are the only two candidates to replace becks and should be named captain and vice captain respectivley under Martin O'N...I mean the new manager,...whoever that is :).
Beckham cannot be expected to be dropped from the side as long as he is playing well for club and country which he is, consistantly.

beckham can pinpoint his balls in!

As Comic Book Guy would say
Ooh, your powers of deduction are exceptional. I can't allow you to waste them here when there are so many crimes going unsolved at this very moment. Go, go, for the good of the city.:D
