MK Dons
News stadium being built with good links to the major road network.
Growing support base that will probably double at least when the new ground opens , and will draw new support from the growing catchment area .
Contrast to City , don't own their ground , dodgy manager , chairman who likes a cloak of invisibility and ground surrounded by an area that has as much appeal as Baghdad with limited scope for improving facilities like parking.

Good point. So what do we do?? Carry on giving blind support to the people not interested in doing owt about it??
To be fair City have gone from a club with £36m worth of debt to a club which now has less than a few million worth of debt. The base of a good club is there but there is a lot of work to be done to get this club going forward once again.

I wouldn't swap Bradford City's situation with the MK Dons if they were the only club in the world. As has been shown, Bradford has the potential, the fan base potential and people who want to see good football living within one hour of the ground is enormous.

It showed in our sojourn in the Prem that we could attract more fans but the problem is without success there are many other clubs in West Yorkshire and close that will take our glory fans.
MK dongs have little competition,,eg. Northampton, Oxford...but nothing else really.

I wonder what the 20,000 missing L666s fans and the 10,000 missing City fans do with their time now ( ok Chuck we know what you get up to so thats 9998 as the Bald Bullet also tells us all about Bulls ).

Well that's true, but if I were someone living in Milton Keynes who wanted to watch great football, I'd be jumping on one of the many trains, for the short journey down to London to watch it.

I probably do the same as you do for three out of every four games Wisey. Sit at home in the warm thanking my lucky stars I aint lining the pockets of the people flushing my club down the plughole.

But still not a good enough percentage to pontificate to others though eh?? And your missing one crucial point. I don't give a fuck!

Nope, not in the slightest. From the Chairman down to the bloke who forks the pitch, I don't give a fuck about any of em anymore.

The thing is Wisey, when talking to the odious Winkelman I asked him why he didn't invest in MK City or any other local non-league clubs; he said; "the people of Milton Keynes wil not buy into a non top flight team". Well, the way they are going it looks like they will have the best stadium in the conference and they wont 8,000 turning up then. The crowd is up because they are dicsounting like crazy and another reason he didn't invest in alocal team is that he has no money to invest. They sell all their decent players and laid off some staff last month and will strugle in League Two next season.

sounds a bit like City in some ways then lol !
I don't give MK Donalds the time of day, these fellas on the other hand I will be delighted for once they make the Football League.
AFC Wimbledon (http://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/index.php)
Currently 3 tiers down from the league they are fighting for a play-off place to gain entry to the Conference South where they could be only 2 years from the football league.
I would be quite happy to see MK Donalds fall flat on their face and for AFC Wimbledon to pass them by on the way to the football league.
They still have a long way to go but they are still getting crowds of around 2,500 to 3,000 for what in truth is 7th tier football which is about 500 to 1,000 more than what Halifax Town are getting who are currently sat second in the Conference 2 divisions above.
This club won't emulate anything like the Wimbledon of old but I think in about 5 to 10 years they will be an established League 2 side.

I agree with you Rick about AFC , but the reality tells me MK Dongers will flourish in the medium to long term ( :-) ) .
