going to my first england game on Wednesday night really looking forward to it..............but its gonna be cold so can I wear my City scarfe or not:confused:
looking forward to seeing some real footballers for a change:D
I went to Anfield the two times we played the scousers when we were in the PL and the first time there was two scallys "can we look after you car mister?", so we gave them a couple of quid and showed them there was nothing left in the car to nick.........luckily it was in one piece when we got back!

Went to Anfield twice too when we were in the Prem. First time went in a pub right near the ground and the atmosphere was amazing. No aggro, you passed your money to the bar via a chain of people, and your drinks and change were passed back. The scousers were packed against the window and the way they were sat and stood looked like the Kop, sat on buffets at the front rising to stood on the seats at the back. Shame some of the teams in our division don't have a tenth of the respect the Liverpool fans had for us.
Anyone else shed a tear when they hear the Kop singing You'll Never Walk Alone?
I've been to see England when they played at Old Trafford against Wales in the qualifiers and enjoyed the day out.
I've been to Anfield twice both times to watch City. Even though it was on Sky it was one of the places I'd always wanted to visit and it was enjoyable even if the result wasn't favourable on either occasion.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it more for the atmosphere rather than the game, being a friendly may take some of the shine off the game as you kind of know your going to see two different England sides in each half. It's a pitty those England games can't be played at Wembley this season, seeing Ricketts and Stewart trying to stop Rooney and Owen would of been quite comical in the New Home of Football.

Me and a few mates are hoping to go to Old Trafford for the England-Jamaica friendly.
Don't know if it necessarily will be 2 different teams in each half now. Sven should pretty much know by now what the squad looks like, and he might want a bit more of a challenge.

I used to go to quite a few england matches, one of the more memorable was the game against greece where we were 2-1 down and needed atleast a draw when beckham got a last gasp free kick to send us to the world cup, ive been to anfield once and enjoyed the day out, i dont know what it would be like for an england match, whether it would be as passionate but whatever happens you will see some decent players and have a good time
