'Without a targetman 13th. With a targetman 5th.

Im just waiting for dilusional predictions from people that we will win the league'

Andy Cook was a target man...I will give you it out of principle... But you know and i know he was Citys Target man full stop..

Dele Adebola was Citys targetman, but the board wouldnt provide adequate funding to Todd to bring him here.

I fully believe that if we had have offered Adebola a grand more a week then he would have signed a contract and we would be in the Championship right now.

Our pivotal five game winning run game was when Adebola was here, and if i'm honest Adebola could have and still could play in the Premiership. Instead of saving up money to waste on tinners like Petta we should have gave Adebola a grand more a week and we'd be the Championship right now.

Aye DB, but at the same time our central midfield partnership was Kearney & Schumacher.

Not many calls for those 2 to be the central pairing.

It's easy to say this fella or that fella is the reason, but it's all bollocks.

Dean Windass scored for fun with Andy Cooke along side him, that is a FACT as Tone would have it. Yet now some folk are happy that he's gone, yet what have Claridge et al done to provide Gobalmighty with the support he needs.

Bright & Wright

Bull & Mutch

Deane & Agana

Sutton & Shearer

Shearer & Sheringham

Ring any bells?

One bloke bangs in a load of goals, the other supports him ably and weighs in with a few himsen. The idea of two frontmen weighing in with a boatload of goals a piece is a MYTH.

We had one glorius season when three players all scored 15+, that's it folks, get used to it.

That is about as accurate a post on the subject as you'll ever get. Admittedly I feel dirty having to agree with komakino, but it's true. Given a run I'm sure Windass and Cooke would've been a double act we look fondly on.

With the Bristol City game this weekend, anyone remember the 4-1 thrashing last year? Adebola and Roberts were outstanding, as was Summerbee. Ah.... those were the days... Was also the time when Wayne Jacobs was playing really well.
