Swindon Town have been routed to the bottom of the league most of the season and haven't really ever got out of the relegation places.

Their next two games see them at home against the team with the worst away record (Gillingham) and away against the team with the worst home record (Rotherham - Yes it's hard to believe but someone has a worse home record that us).

Bradford have been relatively safe all season long but are slowly being dragged into the mire and a defeat tonight which wouldn't be surprising at one of the best teams in the league followed by a massive 6 pointer on Saturday could see a team that have struggled all season and are in survival mode already overtake them.

Bradford City I don't feel are in survival mode or in any kind of mode at present and most of the performances are lack luster and show no urgency.

If Swindon managed to win the next two games and Bradford lost their next two they could be looking up at both Swindon and Bristol who currently occupy the final two relegation spots. Tie into that the fact Deano is suspended for 5 games after than and City don't seem to realise they are in a relegation fight unlike the teams below them and we are in dire trouble.

Any thoughts?

It's up to Turd and the players available now , I hope we win the next 2 matches but I'm not confident about either - 1 point is my prediction from the 2 and we'll be ever nearer the drop zone .

Call me stupid guys but why is everyone talking about a 6 pointer on Saturday. Please explain

Your Stupid :D

It's a 6 pointer on Saturday because if City win they are guarnteed that Bristol will lose. Therefore Bristol will lose 3 points and City will gain 3 therefore it is a 6 point swing.

This is a relegation 6 pointed because whoever wins will be guarnteed to catch up or pull away from the relegation zone. As it stands if Bradford win they will be 8 points clear of Bristol but if Bristol win they will only be 2 points behind Bradford. Hope this makes it as clear as mud.

There are fans who come from all over the country at times, it's a pitty the players and manager don't seem to care.

I live no more than 6 miles from Valley Parade yet find it hard to make the effort nowadays so North Wales and a 200+mile round trip doesn't sound much fun.

I know especially with the passenger airbag (wife) in tow but us City fans for some reason put up with a lot. If i wanted a safe bet i would have supported Chelsea. I think the fact that i was born and raised in Bradford until i was 26 makes me feel some loyalty towards the place.
Back to this 6 pointer. Surely every time (on the rare occasion) we win and another team loses this make a 6 point difference. Why is this Saturday any different apart from the fact that if we lose we are getting dangerously close to losing a lot of weekly supporters.

It's because if we lose on Saturday (dependant on tonights result) we could find Bristol 1 point above us if results go their way so with them being in the relegation zone but possibly in two games time sat 1 point above us we will be pushed down the league.

We are in a relegation battle and the teams that we need to beat are the teams below us to put daylight between us and them therefore they are all 6 pointers as it's a 6 point swing if we beat them.

Come Saturday we could be 1 point behind Bristol and Swindon or we could be 11 points ahead of them.

Sooty, it has been a long-running argument as to whether a "6-pointer" really exists. You are quite right but I think it is the importance of the situation where it becomes a 6-pointer. If it was us versus tiop of the league it's kind of irrelevant, but because the team we are playing can catch us and put us in a precarious position it makes it a psychological 6-pointer.
