When asked who was the best crosser of a ball he's played with said Beckham for England & Summerbee at club level!
I bet Deano would agree, yet another CT masterstroke letting NS leave:mad:
Can I critisize the manager or is CT immune from critisism as "some" on here believe? :D

some were glad to see Summerbee leave , he might have been a surly buggar but he could put in some quality crossses , something CT has never solved this season with replacements proving to be useless.
Fook me amount of times I heard Summerbee getting rollocked by the crowd on a Saturday afternoon and people shouting to get the lazy basturd off the field, Todd lets him go and suddenly Summerbee is a genius and Todd was a total tw*t for letting him go.
He's damned if he does and he's damned if he don't at the moment.

lee is right though, all of you lot on here were having a right go at summerbee before he left. (i would have been as well but i wasnt registered then) sorry to say now he's gone we miss him terribly, petta is lasy, ben and morrison arent given a chance. mbw is the only other decent crosser we have but nowhere near as good as summerbee.

Not "Everyone" was slating Summerbee, in fact he had quite a few supporters on here who could see what he brought to the team!

As I have said many times on this forum, Summerbee could be lazy I'll admit, but the amount of goals he provided last year, he shouldn't have been let go. If I remember rightly half way through last season, he had the second most assists in the league only to Paul Merson. Deano mentions Summerbee a fair bit when he talks about his goal scoring record, indicating that he also misses the quality that came from Nicky.
I wouldn't mind people saying Summerbee was great and a terrible loss, I agree, Deano has been lass than impressive without him.
The point is people then go on to blame Todd. I'm not exactly a fan of Todd Wisey but it seems too many people ignore the stuff he does well and concentrate on the stuff he does badly. They also seem to try and mould somethings that Todd probably had little control over, i.e. the departure of Summerbee, into the responsibility of Todd.
I'd be VERY surprised if any of you people who are typing on here about how great Summerbee was and how much of an idiot Todd is never uttered a bad word against Summerbee, and don't forget it was the actions of one of our esteemed Valley Parade 'faithful' who eventually pushed the guy away from the club.

"Lass (sic) than impressive"
WFT, 17 goals in a season blighted by his big gob....mmmmm
How many of those from open play though? Just his overall game as well, it's been a lot worse than last year.
I'm sure you know what I meant as well, but pish posh.

Aaaaahhh, but people are glad to see the back of Cooke 'cos of his lack of goals. No matter that his link up and support play are second to none at this club.
But Windass by your yardstick is worse this season due to the fact his alround play is not up to the standards of last season. His goal tally does not count?

Having read this thread again, are people saying that it's Todds or Summerbees fault we're shite?
