Right if Todd was to be sacked now, who would you put in place as caretaker manager assuming it is somebody from within the club.
Edit:- forgot to put my nomination.
I would say Claridge as I think he leads the team well on the pitch. We need wetherall to concentrate on his on pich job IMO but i wouldnt be too unhappy for him to get the caretaker role.

I'd have a joint Claridge + Wetherall team until McCall was appointed.

If you had put any other person but Todd as a choice I'd have voted for that instead.

Until we appointed Kammy, Beags or Stu (I can hope) i'd have Claridge - he's made for it and maybe even fated for the job!!

Pepper n Ormondroyd for me. Assuming they want it.
Claridge, a striker is bound to have an attacking mentality when it comes to tactics.
Todd must go, sooner rather than later!

Yeah, Sticks and Jon Pepper, the youth team coach.
Both are involved in the club but neither will want the job full time.
Problems with Wethers:
No experience, no coaching badges, still playing. Future assitant manager definately but not right now.
Problems with Claridge:
Is he going to be at the club full time? I thought he trained at home and only came up the day before a match. If we make him caretaker he'll be after the job full time. Is he going to pick himself over our lads?
Problems with Windass:
Mouthy git. Great player and I'm sure he'd be a great motivator but I wouldn't trust him to be in charge of our team and our finances.
Sticks is a legend and Pepper is doing well with the youth team. They'll do me fine till the summer.

Claridge? pmsl
Did great at Millwall, 30 days or sommat?
He's a mouthy cockney tw4t IMO:(
I'd sooner have McCall(If he'd come?),Beagrie,Wilder,Jakes, whatever pay rise that promoting one of our existing players would cost, im sure they wouldn't be much difference prising away someone in a low paid job?
Hell I'd sooner have Terry Dolan back!;)

Not my list BTW.....:D
Claridge did well at Weymouth - and the reason he only survived 30 days at Millwall aint nowt to do with results - he wasn't even in charge for a game was he? It was internal politics!!
The initial thread was to ask who'd be suitable as a caretaker not who'd get the job fulltime, and whilst i love Wethers - i can only see further boring, pasionless football under him.....

Claridge till the end of the season is a possibility but i don't think the current board members will get rid of Todd till the end of the season. That might turn out to be a very costly stance. In my opinion the only reason we are not in the bottom four at the moment is because the standard of football in our division is poor, and believe it or not some teams are worse than us. On average between Six and Seven thousand fans have turned out to witness some right garbage at home this season, how much longer before people start showing their disgust by staying away on match days.
Get rid of Todd and Davison now before it's to late.

Thats why I wouldn't personally want him in charge at City under any circumstances!
He never lasted a pre-season at Millwall because the players weren't trained properly & complained to the chairman that they thought Claridge didn't have a clue what he was doing.
Millwall's disasterous start to the season was probably down to the fact that Claridge hadn't prepared the squad right physically & mentally, he was probably too busy commentating on Sky sports on the Trinidad & Tobago league 2 top of the table clash between Gollywogs allstars vrs Zulu Wanderers!;) :D pmsl

I think out of those in the Poll, Claridges experience makes him the most likely Candidate. I think that John Hendrie would be a good idea to hold the fort if Todd goes soon. Initially till the end of the season with a promise of a contract beyond that if he makes a good job of it. I know he's an agent and that forbids him from doing a managers job, but so was Jacko when he got the Hudders job and we all know that one of our Board members is still running another football club in all but name, so there are ways around it.
