Come on you poor bassa's, who was at the Kiddy game tonight?
Respect goes out to you all, more than CT showed you eh?;)
Just wanted to know how we played & who played good/bad!
Sounded like the City fans got behind the team & sounded like we battered em in the last 10 mins on the radio, before that sounded pretty even, maybe having ten men evened things out?
Your comments will be appreciated!;)
Just read on the OMB that the Coach City were running didn't turn up till half time and the fans still had to pay full price, I don't know if they are having people on but if it is true I thought losing was bad enough nevermind paying full price to see half a game.

It's true Rick my kids are on it.
Foghorn, did your Kids get if Free for being late or did they have to pay? I notice the complaint about the Coach has been wiped from the OMB, swept under the table so to speak.
The unlucky ones who made the game tonight should just be getting home around now, unless they have taken the city coach which will probably be back around 8am.

I got there at HT as well, the M62 was a nightmare, only cost me a fiver though.
Taking into consideration the hard bumpy pitch, the team we had out, and the fact we only had ten men I thought we didn't do so bad. I've certainly left VP recently feeling more disappointed that's for sure, and imho the sporadic chants of 'what a load of rubbish' were uncalled for.
The talk in the queue for the soup kitchen at HT was all about the contribution from Bobby Petta, and the fact there wasn't one. I didn't see it so can't comment but surely his days are numbered. :(
In the second half the standard of football from both sides was average to say the least, our better moments usually involving Lewis wide on the left, so it was somewhat of a surprise when he was replaced by Schumacher and Taylor was pushed forward, but to be fair to CT it seemed to work because we dominated the closing stages.
For me there were two things about tonights game that's also been evident in our last few games. One is the fact we never seem to work the oppo keeper. Chances from open play seem to be few and far between these days, which is bad enough as it is, but when we get them we aren't even hitting the target, which is tragic. Whatever shooting practise the lads do in training they obviously need more.
The second noticeable thing is the slump in form of Richard Edgehill, he's gone from solid and reliable to quite poor(they're not the words the fans around me were shouting I can tell you!!!) almost overnight. I hope it's a knock because he's a lot better than he's shown recently.
I forced myself to go tonight, mainly because I would have been able to say I went to every game leading upto our Cup win in Cardiff. Oldham doesn't have that appeal, spending the first Boxing Day for donkeys years with my family does, and as things stand it's going to take a monumental effort on my part to get me to the game, because what I'm watching at the moment won't.

Interesting because Jon on the OMB says that he managed to persuade Kidderminster to let in those fans for free.
"The supporters coach was held up on the M62 after a lorry with a dangerous load overturned near Leeds.
Unfortunately traffic was at a standstill for hours and it was beyond the control of the club and coach company.
I managed to get Kidderminster to agree to allow all those who travelled on the coach to gain free admission when they arrived just before half-time."
So did they have to pay or not?
