now then, lets get some football talk done on this website for a change! If we were to sack todd, who would you see as a replacement?
having no money i doubt we can tempt a manager away from another club so thats a non starter.stuart mcgod is better off where he is for now thank you very much! so that leaves us with the unemployed or promoting from within which would probably be windass or wetherall.i'm not sure if either have coaching badges or the credentiels for managing at this (or any) level.the other choice would be if JR did a watford and appointed an unheard of who has lots of coaching badges and ambition.a risky stategy. so all in all, whats the best option? sack todd and appoint another nobody?
in my opinion what this club needs is some stability.we're all frustrated how the team is playing but things could change around.deano is out of form.mbw hasnt performed consistently since he returned from injury but his fitness will come.i also think our fans have overrated our standing in this league.we can't expect to walk a top 6 spot we have to earn it.
our club has been on a downward spiral for too long.if we stabalise for a year or two it may well do us good in the long run.keep the faith or list your alternative's.

I didn't think we could walk into the top six, I think we have the ability to earn it, if we want it.. we just don't look like we do right now.

we can't do much worse than Todd right now, give me the job. I'm great at football manager.

I absolutely love this argument of 'oh were poor little Bradford City barely anyone would apply for the job and nobody will want to come here'---Bull Sh*t.

There are countless unemployed managers and young hopefulls looking to cross over into management, everytime a football league job comes up there are dozens of applications for it.

If anything i think McCall would want to come back, we have stabilized and sit comfortably in boring mid table, the squad is too good to go down but not good enough to go up. What does he have to lose?

He said earlier this season himself in a press interview that he wanted to get into management sooner rather than later. We know he has a tremendous ability to motivate, he's passionate and would kick half of the wasters here out of the door, he takes care of all the player coaching at Sheffield United so he must be a good coach. He must have learned something tactically in his years of been a top player. If his tactics arent up to scratch his passion would compensate for it. My point is McCall couldnt do any worse than Todd, he probably knows that, he has said he's itching to start management and his favourite club are sitting mid table in league 1....he would be hard pressed to make us worse than we are now.

Then we have others like Beagrie who according to some peoples sources wants to return as manager. Kamara has previously said we'd be the only team he'd leave his Sky job for.

Then theres the out of contract managers like Neale Cooper and Stan Ternant.

Theres loads of options to replace Todd.

Neill Cooper or Keith alexander, 2 very very respectable managers, the latter would require a fee from lincoln, but cooper is a decent manager, only failed at gilly as they are in slide down!

Aye good point Yeadon, its like when Jewell left us and went to Sheffield Wednesday...their slide was unavoidable.

McCall should stay where he is at the moment been assistant manager to Warnock, after all loads of clubs want Warnock as their manager, Portsmouth wanted him the other week.

We had a chance for McCall to be manager, and we blew it

The littlest hobo would be a good shout.!!

Top ideatup: He could be Shergar of Dessy's No.2 - that way if either of them fail we could feed them to the Littlest Hobo - Todd/Robbo style!

My first choice would be McCall. If he brought in Dolan as assistant/mentor then even better. They would be my dream team.
And if Macca wanted to stay at Sheffy Utd till the end of the season then I'd bring in Dolan as caretaker till end of season. He may be a little ring rusty but he's finding his feet again at Guiseley, will be able to leave them for nowt and would be an improvement on Turd till end of season.

If we cannot have Macca then I really don't know who to go for. There are a number of good candidates out there but outstanding ones? Not so sure.

Kammy would be fun to have back but I think only for nostalgic purposes. He'd be a step up from the Turdmeister for sure but I think there are better candidates out there.

Beagrie... I dunno. He was a cracking player for us and really loves the club but I'm not going to champion him ahead of McCall. He'd probably be my second choice I suppose but only just.

plenty to choose from

George Graham - could he awake the sleeping giant.....then why would he want too.

On a more serious note........

we had over 20 applications when Robbo was appointed - I'm sure now we are financially stable - more would apply.
