Can't believe poeple are slagging him off. What has he got to do to keep everyone happy?
He's saved this club when nobody else would put up the money to keep us afloat. The businesses in Bradford have turned their backs, Sir Ken doesn't want to know and JCT has done his bit but can't afford to gamble enough for a major stake.
JR is going to be around for a long time it would seem as there's nobody lining up to do a Chelski on us and he's trying to keep us afloat by not taking any unnescessary gambles.
Unbelievable.

He's a real City fan at heart but unfortunately I don't think he has much of a idea regarding the running of the club:(
He's also surrounded himself with lets say "dodgy characters" in the boardroom who are probably taking him & our club for a ride:mad:
He mean's well though & he has put up the money (along with the fans) that kept/keep this club going but for how long, who knows?:(
I hope he's "sounding out" the next manager because another season of mid-table obscurity or worse under CT, could signal the end of JRs interest in BCFC!:(

The word to describe Rhodesy' is NAIVE there's no doubting he's a true fan with the best interests of the club at heart, but after being on the board during Richmonds "6 weeks of madness" which included the 25 year fiasco, and 2 administrations you can't help but be slightly worried - the fact he brought Jim Brown in as his right hand man is the most worrying aspect........over a dozen bankrupt companies he's been director of, dodgy goings on at Halifax where companys he were involved with got paid huge sums by the football trust to build a stand which was never built - which again went bust (wonder what ever happened to the missing money???????).......
The other worrying aspect is the fact that not one of the steering committee has put one penny into the club - they might be putting "unpaid hours" into the club - but which one of us wouldn't given the chance?.....

Good post Dutchy, people should remember, WITHOUT RHODES IT IS 99% CERTAIN WE WOULDN'T HAVE A CLUB (or not as we know it now).
Supporters should be thankful and give him and the club the support it desperatley needs.

We all go through the NAIVE stage at one time or another its what happens when we come out of it, the guy may have money but he has to learn & grow

He seems to talk to CT only now and not the supporters , apart from the few paragraphs in the match day programme.
This lack of PR an communication leaves a big hole .
What he needs is some more investors to come onboard at VP , but they need something to get them motivated and interested.
He has never been a big PR man, which leaves him vulnerable to the media queenies. JR is City, without him we would be nowhere, and we would go nowhere, he goes the club goes, very simple really. Unless I have missed something there is not a queue to take over this club.
He has my vote, because I want city to survive.
I just hope that he has somebody waiting in the wings.

yes everyone wants city to survive BUT there's no long term future
City needs to get back to Division 1 (as it was called) - then stabilise - then hopefully become a yo-yo between there and premiership
Julian doesn't have the cash to do this AND has yet to show the slightest managerial qualities needed for this task
re the steering committee - if they don't put cash in - and one of them belongs in jail in my book - only a fool would want them around
