Ticket prices would be a guess, if your good enough to fill your ground you can charge what you want but the rest should be priced accordingly.

Sunderland will have 47,000 there tonight because tickets are £5 each.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that 47,000 paying £5 each for a league cup game will produce more income than 10,000 paying £20.

I went to Notts forest a few years ago when admission was £5, city took 3,000 fans down and the rest of the ground was full 28,500+ for a thursday night. This season it will cost £21 and there will be no more than 1,000 city fans travelling down and the forest fans are starting to have enough, I'd guess no more than 18,000 will be there Saturday.

The problem is it's easier to fleece the loyal fan than it is to come up with creative marketing ideas to boost the attendance.

I have just noticed the City v Tranmere game has been reduced to £10 a head, only problem is it's on at the same time as Man U v Chelsea on the TV so no matter how much you reduce the price you won't attract the floating supporters.

Tv needs a good crowd, it does not look a good spectacle, on TV to see empty seats. I also think the EPL needs an injection again, Cantona, Zola, Ginola, are sadly lacking. Shame that it is become cost prohibitive. Melb Victory in the new Hyundai A league here are charging b/w 16 and 22 dollars depending on the opponents, and the date, time of the game. Young Christian SARKIES 18 yr old is a future start in serie A, no doubt about it. Free kicks and corners with either foot is something special.
