Drogba set up all 4 goals scored by Chelsea. I agree Bent looks better value for money but Drogba isn't dogshit and he's not a world beater but how many players have made the Liverpool defence look as bad as Drogba made them look last week?

I was at Stamford Bridge yesterday and Chelsea were outstanding. Drogba scored two and did a brilliant backheel to set up another, looks pretty good to me. Of course he is not worth the money, but Chelsea have to pay inflated prices because everyone knows they can, just like L@@ds had to let players go on the cheap because everyone knew they were skint.
BTW, Nolan was meant to be man-marking Makalele! Its come to something when you have to mark a defensive midfielder!

I'll field those one at a time Tone, If I may;

Drogba is doing well, no more than that. Man Yoo wouldn't swap Rooney or Ruud for him. Arsenal wouldn't swap Terry Henry for him and Newcastle wouldn't swap Owen for him. I don't even think Spurs would swap Defoe for him or Charlton Bent for him

Gerrard and Lamps are both class, world class in fact. However if it was an either or situation for England, Lamps would be the one to make way. Gerrard has more in his locker.

Crouch, is doing well for Club and Country. Like I say, I will spend your tenner wisley when the World Cup Squad is announced.

Chelsea..looks like they will do it. As much to do with the stuttering along of the competition than their class though. ItWould be silly to write Man Yoo off at this stage though. They, too are more than capable of going on a long winning run. Chelsea will run out of steam for a spell, they will not maintain the run they are on.

Defoe hasn't pulled up any trees this season. If I had a (hypothetical obviously :D) choice of him or Robbie Keane signing for City I'd take the Irishman. However I don't have a problem with the fact Defoe has cemented himself as Michael Owens understudy for England.

Theres no way they'd have dropped Makalele, he's the best in the world at that so called "holding role" that the nation is now obsessed with. What were they gonna do?? Sit Gerrard on the bench?? Nope. They lost out after Liverpool won the CL but it wasn't too big a blow cos they' could still make do with Lampard. I've no doubt if Liverpool don't pull their finger out and achieve something this season, Stevie G will get itchy feet again and Chelsea will try sign him again in the summer.
