Ref didnt give a defo second when Owen brought down...

Stale performance from the team..

Crouch is dogshit... He is so bad please dont defend him.. He has the worst first touch, only wins the bare minimum of headers....

He is a poor mans Heskey and thats saying something....:D

Its easy to say in hindsight but i reckon after the chances of the first half Bent would have bagged a few...

We need two proper goal scorers not one and a reject from the "Eastern European" non picked actors from Escape to victory...;)

Thats all that can be good about a performance like that, shite. All i can say is its a good job the Austrians couldnt shoot.

We might make it to Germany, but there will have to be a vast improvement if we are to put in a challenge for the World Cup.

No confidence, no motivation, and a poor all round performance.

I have the Saturday feeling when we play at home, ah we haven't played yet:D

the ref was decisions were extremely poor, in my view both Beckham's bookings were nothing of the sort. He turned us down for a nailed on pen, and gave them everything after our pen.

Didnt give the nailed on pen couse he gave the first one IMO, but agree, he was poor..

Beckhams first yellow i've seen given before many times and think the 2nd was more to do not just with the tackle he got booked for but a tackle just before that when he went in at their player ( between both bookings )

We'll make it to the World Cup..

but play like that against better opposition and we wont have a fookin chance..

Beckham connected on both fouls...Right or wrong he got yellows for em....

A couple of their players got away with a hell of alot more though...

Inconsitency in the refs actions ruined the game.... Alongy with that sad excuse for a frontman... It was already like playing with 10 men and a streak of paralysed piss.....:mad:

agree about front men, Crouch looks like bamby, not effective, not enough umph on him to make a good target man.

Becks barely touched him, and was withdrawing from the tackle, on his sending off. I agree the other tackle probably got him sent off. However, how do you jump without your arms??? I personally do not think that was a foul, but in any event he could have given the free kick but to book him was ott.

Les Ferdinand used to spring like a Masai warrior and never get booked for it...

Its not the using the arms to jump that gets you booked its nromally the way the elbows go in after or the hand in the eye...

Beckham was unlucky thats all... A bad ref in a bad game...:(

That right fullback does luke young but he played well and we need youth like him and Looney bringing on with a blend of experience of Lampshade, Gerry and Bookhim.

Not a great display by Engerland against the Aussies but 3 more points and with Looney back we can improve and beat the Polacks.

C'MON!!!

The team is missing a real motivator ON the pitch...Beckham isnt a real motivator just a Real player;)

We need a Pearce, Butcher,Batty, Adams, Wise, Ince even Robson etc... These are players who got teams up for it by their actions on the pitch...

Thing is there are at least 3 natural born leaders on that pitch, Terry/Gerrard/Beckham, add to that Campbell & Robinson who have both captained teams in the past. There is absolutely no excuse for for lack of on pitch leadership.

Oh well, at least Holland won.

Kinda takes the excitement out of the Poland game, but at this stage I don't really care.

Switzerland, France & ROI all have a good chance on Wednesday in their group.

France should beat Cyprus, but ROI vs Switzerland could be tight and if the Swiss can win they'll go through.
