Which do you prefer, the "Yesteryears" match day experiences or the "Todays" more clinical affair?
I personally yearn for the "Good ole days" of following City, Grounds swelled with boisterous & often drunk blokes who created atmospheres in the ground that will never be seen again!
My City days started in the early to mid eighties before PC obsessed officials had ruined the atmosphere at grounds, home & away fans would try to out-sing the other throughout the 90 minutes, regardless of who was winning!
Away trips were treated with trepidation at what "welcome" you would recieve of the natives, usually a few "half charlies" or darts at the train/bus was the order of the day;)
Then there was the players who you thought of as one of "us" not some overpaid, underskilled money grabbers who think they're above the fans!
Today we have magnificent stadiums across the Country yet they cannot hope to produce half as much noise & atmosphere as the old decrepid ones!
Maybe my memory is playing tricks & really it was sh/te in the "Good ole days" but i know one thing, football & following City seemed more "Romantic" in them days:D
