Crooks was good today, one of the better players in todays crap performance. Just cos he looks likr he could play for the bulls doesn't mean he has no skill, he nearly scored today with a bullet of a volley

Personally I'd of taken off Petta and put Bridge-Wilkinson on the wing at half time because when he was switched to the wing at Rotherham he was our most effective player.

Crookes is a plodder who passes the ball backward and sideways, he as no real turn of pace and at best is a squad player for a conference team.
when exactly has he done anything outstanding then???

crooks does a job as the ball winner.he's not an attacking type player but he does have a good shot on him.we play a system with 2 forwards,2 well pushed on wingers,1 centre mid attacking so someones got to stay back and protect the back 4.if crooks makes a challenge,wins the ball then passes it 5/10 yards to a teammate then he is doing his job effectivley.not everyone can pass like beckham or make great runs from midfield like lampard!our system demands that someone stays back and crooks is good at that job.don't expect everyone to be able to score/make goals.do we have a go at mbw for not making enough tackles when he plays centre mid?of course not because thats not his role.crooks appears to be a scapegoat because he very rarely scores/makes a goal when in fact that isn't really his role in the TEAM.
