Assuming Colgan is taken on board as first choice keeper, that will take our (expected 1st 11 imo) teams average age to 30.2.

Last seasons promoted teams were all much younger with....

Mk Dons - ave 27
Peterborough - ave 25.9
Hereford - ave 25.9

You could argue that footballers are much fitter these days, which indeed they are, but also more susceptible to injury & slower.

Is that too old?

Or will age overcome youth!

Does age really matter?

I don't think it does TBH, some of the best players peak at 30 ish!

I think its getting the right balance of old and new to achieve your goals!

What was the average age of the team that got promoted to the Prem and stayed there for a season???

Age doesn't matter, if your good enough your old/young enough! tup:

28 was the average age of the team that got us promoted to the Premiership.

But hopefully your right and age wont matter, its a physical league though and we dont want the big teams rail-roading us with power & pace!!

we've got a good mix i feel - and hopefully Colgan will come on board - then we'll see a striker and maybe a couple of loans in to bolster the ranks - McCall has gone for erxperience and winners from League 1 - sounds good to me, the young 'uns will get a chanceto impress during the season.
