Has it got that bad that we are reduced to looking for a first team reserve keeper from local teams?

Claret & Banter's keeper could do a job I reckon!

In all seriousness though, well done city, we lose nothing from trying. A friend of mine who is still playing at local level has been asked by peterbrough to go on trial so there is definitely talent about. Good to get some transparancy and hold open trials as far too much of it relys on referalls from teachers at a younger age (I know all my mates that played at city did so on recommendation from school)

There's always a few players that slip through the net. Ian Wright, Stuart Pearce and Chris Waddle spring to mind. I can't think of any keepers that have made it from the semi pro level to full pro. Like you say, worth a try but I can't see it myself.
