Sounds like just the sort of signing we needed for that berth. 2 experienced full backs backed up by 2 youngsters. Hopefully he can fulfill that early promise. That would be one more position sorted.

It could be worse. Southgate has decided not to replace Schwarzer with a new keeper. He's going to start the keeper with Ross Turnbull and Brad Jones, and believe it or not, Turnbull is the better of the too. Unless he realises his error in the first couple of weeks of the season and signs one before the August transfer window shuts, Boro could be odds on for relegation.

I reckon McCall's waiting to pick up a loan deal nearer the start of the season for his first choice keeper.
