Good news. When the T&A reported we were only waiting on a 'keeper and a striker I started worrying about the left-wing berth. And we only had Ainge as cover for Arnison. Four more sounds about right.

I'm guessing at the moment Brandon and Daley are our left sided midfielders, neither of which are naturally left sided so it would be good to get someone for that position, but a backup right back (Ainge at the moment) could be a possibility. The keeper is apparently that Blackburn lad who was on loan ay Wycombe last season. Another two stikers one of which will hopefully be Jon Shaw!

I wonder if there's any Blunts on Stu's mini list?
Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell wants to reduce the size of his squad for next season.
Blackwell, who signed Sun Jihai and Greg Halford this week, hopes to add at least one winger this summer and although under no pressure to sell, the Blades boss is ready to trim his playing staff.
He said: "I've had a chat with the chairman and we've not got to get rid of anyone.
"Nothing has come out of the transfer budget with the two signings we've made so far, but clearly I'd like to look to reducing the squad a little because it is quite big.
"The good thing is that people will go when we want them to go."

Lewis Emanuel could do the job at that level, could be a left back if needed too

options - what we have lacked for some seasons - I'm getting all giddy and feverish thinking about the season ahead.

I also noticed this bit in the T&A article, which has also been copied into the official site article:
McCall employed three different players in the role last season – Darren Williams, Ben Starosta and Tom Harban.
Starosta, who has another year on his contract at Sheffield United, has been linked with a return.

I cant see Starosta coming back to warm the bench.

Aye - and Luke O'Brien didn't let anyone down when he played there last season either (OK, so it was only three games... but in the two I saw he looked good!). I reckon we have enough cover with OB and Bower backing up Hecky. Right back on the other hand... we just have Ainge.

We definitely need cover at right back. Arnison hasn't trained yet due to an injury he had at the end of last season.
