Shockingly overlooked for the League Two manager of the year..
Amazingly went to the fella from third placed Hereford..
If that is a fair decision then surely Grant should have got it from the Prem???
This isnt a Chelsea loving post but Fergie got the Prem title and a champions League spot shit bust.. Well done indeed but he had preseason and a steady team..
Grant got second in the league, carling cup final, Champions League final and 1/4 final in the fa cup....
Now Fergie Rightly got it as his side won the League, Mobray got it and so did Martinez of Swansea so how the fuck does a guy who scrapes his team into third get it in our League..
Fucking shocking decision...

Great Decision, much as i admire Ince he has had more backing than is usual for a league 2 side.
Turner started with 5 contracted players and with a great knowledge of the loan market moulded a team that took most people by surprise in league 2. Definitely one of the better teams at VP this year and nobody fancied them at the start whereas Posh and the MK Dongs were always going to be favourites with the cash backing they have.

I'd hazard a guess that the panel took into account the resources Hereford had compared to 'moneybags' MK Dons ....not saying I agree with the decision, but I can understand the reasoning.

So with Grant not spending hardly any cash at all and taking over a side on the downward spiral how come Fergie got it then and not Moyles maybe???
Suppose Man Utd Chelsea (with Mouriniho)arsenal Liverpool were not faves for the title then???
Seems a very very poor decision to me.. Ince won MK Dons first silverware at Wembley and also the League..
This stinks...

Like i said, i admire Ince and what he has done at Macc and the Dongs but maybe Turner had a harder job and in a way his achievement with what he had at his disposal was more worthy of reward. Just speculating, like, i've never understood why the top award always goes to the manager of the champions.

Then it should be judged the same across the board not just in one League..
Prem.. Moyles or Hodgson
Championship... Brown or the Bristol guy
League One.. Carlisle geezer..
League Two .. Hereford guy..
As this hasnt happened then you have to agree Incey has been shafted big time... Well obviously you do not have to agree..

Can't disagree with those Tone, we obviously approach these awards from different directions!!!
Is it a better achievement to manage Man Utd with millions at your disposal or keep Macclesfield in the league from an 11 point deficit without a penny at your disposal as Ince did? Thats a question but i reckon i admire the Macc managers achievement more

Derrrrrrrrrrrr Ince spent 750k,Hereford had 5 players on their books and used Bosman freebies from the shitpool to boost their squad...................
To put things into perspective Tony, its like Man Ure spending £50,000,000.00 and Derby using the same team they got promoted with and winning the premiership title:rolleyes:

Im not disagreeing mate...
If the awards were treated the same and the same rules applied then the Hereford manager should rightly get the award but none of the other recieptients should..
But as all the other League winning managers won it seems a very strange and unfair decision not to give the League two one to Incey..
If it were awarded to managers judged on income wage structure and finishing positions then none of those would have won...
But like i said it wasnt..
So i am agreeing with you but pointing out why im sticking up for Mr Ince at the same time ...

Derrrrr.. So how much did Fergie spend compared to Moyles or even Grant???
How much Mobray to the Bristol guy???
How much Martinez to the Carlise guy???
Jimmy at least make an effort ffs instead of just randomly shooting from the hip as per eh...

Mobray and Carlisle spent nothing different from their counter parts, stop shooting from the hip and see the difference's in their budgets:rolleyes:

The inspired signing of BMW paved the way, didnt it Jimmy;)
Not good enough for City in L2 (nice one Wethers), yet 50 appearances this year for Carlisle, 9 goals - 2 against scum, and looking likely to go up to the championship!!

Admittedly,BMW has been great for Carlisle and you were right that he would be good in a good team, but it confirms what an arsehole he was at City,he didnt bother trying when he was here.

If the winners of the MOTY awards are just going to the managers who win the league ect.... then why bother with voting and a ceremony in the first place?
The LMA members voted who "they" thought deserved the awards in each division and im sure they are better judges than members of the C&B board
I think Ince was unlucky but i'd have voted for Graham Turner personally as he achieved more on considerably less.
Would Ince have got Hereford promoted on the same budget with the same players?
We'll never know but as much as I admire Ince's managerial ability, i'd be surprised if he would.

When the going got tough last season he didn't want to know! tdwn:
Like Jimmy says It just goes to show how much he cheated the City fans in his final season.

2 years back Hereford beat Fax in the play off final in Leicester and got into league 2 - and have now secured promotion to League 1 with a 3rd place - all on meagre resources and lowish crowds - one hell of an achievement and they did it in style this season playing attacking football - put 7 goals past us in 2 games.
MK Dons got promotion on the back of big investment in players and an up and coming manager , and won the paint trophy as well (zzzzzzzzzzzz) - they looked an efficent unit playing to their strenghths.
As for MBW - good time charlie doing well - let us down badly towards the end of the stay here and a real powder puf with his ongoing knee "problem" - and we could not afford the wages he would have wantd.

No doubt Mark Bright, Robbie Earle and the other black pundits will be harping on about him not winning it being because he was black - like they moan about not enough black managers being in the game.......maybe if they got off their arse and tried their hand instead of the comfort of a pundits chair there might be a few more!!....

Be fair Matty three white managers who won their Leagues given the awards all at clubs that were expected to win their Leagues and a black one who did the same but got nothing..
Fair winge in todays society if you ask me...

Don't buy that for a minute. Turner made a far better job of far less resources at his disposal.
Dongs were among everyones faourites to go up, Hereford were supposed to be down amongst the dead men fighting for survival.
I'm in no way decrying Ince's efforts as i admire the guts of the bloke starting at the bottom.Much more admirable than other ex internationals who think they should just walk into top jobs on the strength of their playing record.
Its an easy kop out to use the race card, didn't Keith Alexander win the award the other year when Lincoln got to the play0offs about 4 years running?

Jeeez, Im not saying that ffs... Man Utd were faves to win the Prem WBA faves to win Championship, Swansea one of the faves to win League One..
All had the best or one of the best squads so winning was near enough guarenteed..
When three out of four get it just for winning and nothing more it stinks when a new manager doesnt get it in the other League..
You seem to just be separating MK Dons out as a fair exception to the other three when othe clubs in other leagues have done as good a job in their own way in other Leagues..
That is my point ..

Yep, i accept your point Tony, looking like that it does seem strange but is it the race card that prevented Ince getting the award? I hope not as he's showed more balls doing it his way than some of the other England 'stars' in their attempts at management

Nah i would hope not too but it does give those folk who like to use it the ammo to throw it in the mix..
I too rate Incey as a manager and wish we had gone for him when he left Wolves...As a player manager..

Get with the programme, gayness is the new racism in footy now!
Ince should come out of the closet and they will give it to him instead! :)
