Bad news for football as a whole as now it allows the FA to make up rules when they want for whatever they want...

Take your Ken Bates and Leeds blinkers off and it is shocking decision..:poo:

How do you make that out?

They broke the rules that us and everyone else had to follow when exiting admin. (Having a CVA in place) and were happy to take the 15 points so they could start the season.

Now Bates wants his points back because L**ds haven't pissed the division in the way he'd have liked.

Its a no - brainer and the decision today shows this, if they had been harsh on L**ds then they would have had their points back.

Is it Tony? - should football become known even more as the home of notorious fleecing self centered suits? - Footie needs to clean up its act and maybe just maybe it's starting to happen.
I know this sort of thing happens everyday outside sport - but sportmanship should be part of the game and this is not really, you pay your tax, so do i and millions of others - why should football clubs (hubs of their communities and so on) not do so?

No its not. Bates tried to cheat the system which us & many others have had to stick to - its backfired and (fingers crossed) cost them promotion.

Bates & his crew deserve all they get - lets hope they get dumped in the play-offs like before!!

No doubt there'll be plenty of trouble if they do lose out - same old L666s same old scummy fans.

Tony, has nothing to do with the FA, it was a Football League issue.

The League had a rule, Leeds broke it. So the League let them stay in the League if they would accept a 15 point penalty and not appeal it. So they accepted it, but then decided to appeal. Unsurprisingly that appeal has now failed.
It wasn't the League that was making it up as they went along, but Bates trying to make the League do so in his favour.

If they hadn't accepted this new punishment then they would now be out of business..Unsuprisingly they accepted then challenged..

roflmao:roflmao:roflmao:clap:Old Man Bates is still bleating on about the injustice this morning and some of the fans comments on the phone-in were priceless.
I think everyone including Wiseys reptilian buddies and the Icke meister have also conspired against 'Mighty Whites'

The League operates like a private members club, it isn't a conglomerate of businesses. Leeds were effectively at risk of being blackballed - they could easily have suffered a worse fate. They were offered a choice, start in League One with -15 or don't get your Golden Share back, basically your membership will be cancelled.

They accepted and in doing so agreed not to take legal action. They then challenged and the decision of the League was upheld by an arbitration panel. It is very very simple, you cannot dress the League up to be something it is not, Mr Bates, and you know full well that you pushed your luck.

What is sad is that whilst all this was going on not once has Bates considerted what the fans think. And had this had an adverse effect it would not have been him who would have suffered. That is where my sympathies lie, that their fans (hate em if you like but they are still football fans) still have this guy running their club. There will be many many more controversial issues with Leeds, the League and the media to come.
