i can tell i turned 30 as i bought the first (i think) editors cd (yellowish cover) and really like that, very much like REM. Also like first Bloc Party CD, like i say getting old and buying what i'd call popular chart music! another band i really like is 'At The Drive In' pretty much anything by them is really good but it depends what you like. i won't go down the metal/grind route though, i am assuming you wouldn't like any of those suggestions!

the "shiny toy guns" album is fantastic!

Yellowish cover sounds like the second album. I thought their first one was quite good, someone bought me the second one and I've listened to it about once. It's not massively different so I have no idea why I don't like it as much.
I haven't bought an album for a couple of months, last ones I got were British Sea Power and Rev and the Makers, both decent efforts, BSP is probably the better album.

The albums that are getting a caning on the Chuckle iPod at the moment are;
The Enemy; We'll live and Die in these Towns
REM; Accelerate (It's like turning the clock back 15 years, a reet return to form)
Muse; Haarp Live at Wembley (pompous Cock Rock, but great nonetheless)
Editors; The End as a Start
Reverend and the Makers; The State of Things (My fave album of the last 12 months)
