Looking forward to this program tonight as it is an excellent book by one of my favourite contempory writers. The BBC did an excellent job on the first of Arnott's trilogy The Long Firm and I'm expecting a similar treatment by ITV. Arnotts stories are based on fact, in this case the story of Harry Roberts who killed three policemen and is still in jail, and the corruption in the Met's dirty squad. He doesn't in anyway glamourise criminality and really gets under the skin of the characters. Im only gutted that this is a three parter and I'll be away next Sunday night and have no video or recrdable DVD thingy.

Weren't bad... a bit 'Danny Dyer meets Heartbeat' but watchable.

I thought it was pretty good really, good acting and the period detail was great. Thought it was a bit more hardcore than Heartbeat though.

Lol.. yeah.. that's what I meant by Danny Dyer meets Heartbeat.. I only associated with heartbeat because of the constant 60's musakle background.

Jeez... they didn't half smoke a lot in the olden days.:D
