Can anyone tell me how he seems to get in the team and stay on for 90 mins?
I joked a few weeks ago that EJ seems to have a clause in his contract that he plays when fit, im begining to think i may be right!:(
Theres surely no other reason he stayed on the field today after yet another dismal performance in todays game :poo:
If they want to make another Invisible man film then surely EJ would be ideal choice, maybe even an Oscar awaits???

I thought he was OK today...! Although Wetherall shephered Liam Dickinson out of the game, he was on the end of a lot and got stuck in...!
I think your assessment of him is rather harsh IMHO

He's something of a puzzle is EJ - darling of the VP chavs and loathed by many others - I can't rate hime much at all - and he's always frigging injured - get rid!

Parrot, just been on the omb and the usual suspects on there are as usual creaming themselves about EJ and slagging the rest of the midfield. Are all the chavs on there his bitches or something?
For the past season for me, EJ has run around trying to get involved and trying to play his part. I don't fault the lad for effort but i just don't think he knows what his role is in the team

He "played" upfront today but made Conlon look like Alan Shearer ffs!!!
Best he moves to try and resurrect his career IMO

Any player whose name goes easy with...."der, der, der, derrrr....(Insert name) ..... seems to warrant immediate cult status with the OMB chavs, regardless of ability or performance.
Im surprised Macca couldn't see how poor he was today though  ....EJ should have being the first subbed player IMO
There seem to be a lot who didn't even recognise there was a problem in central midfield up until recently, at least some of them are finally coming round to the idea that we are piss poor in there.
Unfortunately now a lot of them seem to be blaming Bullock instead of this muppet.

He played upfront with Thorne today Lee, Evans (poor again) and Bullock (average) played in CM.
EJ only went in the middle after SM brought on Conlon.
Well judging from your review it looks like Stu will be putting him back in CM on Wednesday anyway. Can't wait.

Im an OMB chav, but I don't rate EJ in midfield.
Good attitude though, and I guess you need battlers in your team.
EJ the battler or Omar the who cares?
EJ any day.

.
You need battlers who actually contribute something though. Impersonating a headless chicken isn't good enough.
Because Bullock is having to do the work of 2 in midfield, he's ending up absolutely knackered trying to hold back the tide on his own. He may not have pace but just lok at the amount of tackles he gets in.

Tim on the Pulse seemed to think EJ was playing in midfield today with Thorne up front on his own. Was EJ up front, in behind, in midfield or invisible?
Can't see him as a midfielder to be honest. If he could stay fit long enough, I would give him a run up front with Thorne. To be honest I can't see him being with us in August. I bet he signs for someone else and does well though. Always the same with our ex strikers.

I can;t comment on EJ's play but the stats just get worse and worse for him. We play him we lose every time, we don't play him we go on a great run. He might be the next Johan Cruyff (yeah right) but if we always lose when he plays then there is something very very wrong with him.

Can anyone tell me how when he signed and I said he was another one straight out of the shitpool, I was mocked and treated with utter contempt??
Don't you say it about every player though? Where are all the threads taking the piss out of your many failed predicitions?
As I remember most of the players we sign are met by 'give him a chance see how good he is first' rather than 'Chucks you're wrong' but don't worry mate I'm sure someone has got the violin out for you somewhere.

What Liverpool premiership champions 2008 :wet::wet::wet:
I say it about every player City sign who has no other options. meaning it's us or nobody. Which is why we are where we are, because that is the kind of player we go for. Just like Willy Crock this season. City fans have this mentality that states that even before they have seen a player play, he is the one that will make a difference, despite the fact that, if they were so good they would have other offers on the table at a higher level. I prefer the realistic approach, the one that states that if a player was any good, he'd not be here on the terms that our fuckwit chiarmen offer, then I don't look like as big a silly cunt as the up with the fairylights crew do every season.
As for Liverpool, the eventual Premiership winner is clearly a lot harder to predict than a Rhodes and Lawn run City's likely achievements, given that the former have about four eventual option's and the latter is a dead cert.
Do you know what makes me sad? We'll be having this same conversation this time next year and you'll still be blaming everybody from Colin Todd, via Rafa Benitez, all the way to Stuart McCall to why Bradford City haven't made one jot of progress since Julian Rhodes took his Chairman title out of the wrapping paper!!:(

There would be , like in the past be no shortage of takers for this football club. A great start would be to end the , "he's city, through and through, he's doing a great job and if it wasn't for Julian Rhodes etc etc" mantality. If a few fans would let it be known that they think he's a useless cunt, the penny might drop and he may actually listen to offers instead of clinging on becasue he thinks he's wanted here. Don't forget he'd turned Lawn away until the very moment that doing it on his own was an impossibility. You can hide from the fact till your blue in the face, the club wouldn't have seen it through last summer without Lawn's brass. Anyone without their head in the sand could see that. Kudos to Lawn, but that doesn't excuse him for all the lies he has told since his arrival but at least he did give City some breathing space and if you are happy with treading water, whilst in that breathing space, well good for you!
It's interesting isn't it? That until he had Lawn and Baldwin on board, there was no schemes or activities like the ST offers. Do you know why? because Rhodes was sat twiddling his thumbs waiting for things to happen by chance. He had to take this option, because he hasn't any talent or vision to do it on his own and as long as he has any say in the day to day running of the club and as long as folk massage his ego, then you're stuck with shitpool players in front of 20000 fans, a quarter of which are in for less than half price and three quarters of whom haven't even paid for their seats. Ask yourself the question, if things were so good and the future so rosy, why is it so cheap?

just got back and finally dried out! yeah, i thought EJ was playing in a 5 man midfield. it was so rare that we got in their half that thorne was invaribly on his own anyway. what summed it up for me was when EJ went in like a big mincer on a 50-50 challenge. the county player/s wanted it more and i thought it was pretty dire throughout but EJ was useless today. evans hasn't changed, does he axtually know how to find a city player with his passes? all in all typcal season over fodder, if wethers had equalised at the death it would have been rough on county who were simply better than us.

So Cheap Because paying over the odd's to watch Dagenham and Redbridge will bring in the same amount of money as 20,000 using the freebie scheme. Sorry but attendances would drop below 5,000 if they were at the normal price, nobody wants to pay big bucks to watch the shite on offer in league 2, So you have to give them credit for getting more fans through the gate, whilst actually turning a profit.
People have had 2 chances to also buy Bradford City AFC/FC once when it went into Admin with £36 million worth of debt, nobody except Rhodes and Gibb put forward a plan to take the club forward and put money in. They then got a second chance when Rhodes bought the club for £900,000 - now if all these so called businessmen who were actually serious about buying city existed they would of got city when they could pick the club up for less than £1 million. Can you tell me where all these serious offers were? Lawn wanted in around the same time as Etherington - Peter told Lawn to sling his hook and I'm betting Rhodes wishes he'd choosen Lawn's offer over Peter's first time around.
Realistically Lawn and Rhodes are the only people who have and are still willing to actually part with any brass to keep the club going and move it in the right direction.
Perhaps the Latvian who wanted to supposidly invest in Bradford before he did Blackpool was put off by Rhodes saying "When you buy this club, make sure you buy Torres, Rooney, Ronaldo and Henry or some bloke on Claret & Banter called Chuckle Bantam will tell everyone your sailing the club down the river and are draining every penny out of it and will sod off back to Riga when your bored with your new train set". After all apart from the guy behind a technology company in Yorkshire nobody else has actually made a serious cash enquiry.
I'd much rather have Rhodes & Lawn in charge than two yankeedoodledee's who are screwing Liverpool over, Also with what Rafa has on offer he could be within points of Arsenal now if he didn't use that stupid rotation that doesn't work right for him in England, suits european footie but the premier league - no - i'd probably have Liverpool closer to the title than rafa has got them with the squad he's got.

Thorne won't be on shit wages. Daley's probably on more than your average 4th division plodder too I'd guess.
Even if we get rid of Bowser, EJ and Donovan from the wage bill...surely we'll still be paying Wethers his mammoth salary for coaching.
