I think Gibb's pension fund will want more than a million, try £4m for VP - feasible given Bradfordian apathy?

Seen these before, primes spaces end up selling for more than £1 or $1.

Frankly, I think it's a superb idea, and I have bought £10 of pixels on the Cheadle End goal line...!

Funny isn't it...
An initiative by another club gets praise yet if Bradford City were to do something akin then it would be dereliction by the board and a waste of time and money.

Agreed CB, some 'fans' can't bring themselves to give the club credit where its due.

£4m divide by 9000 = £445 approx each - I'd be up for that !

Hold on, this is a "fan-owned" Club we're talking about, it can't be a good idea.
Good luck Stockport btw!

We'll have this "fan owned club" debate in 10 years Mark - if any of the fan owned clubs have reached even Championship level by then i'll buy you a season ticket - if all of em are still bumming round in the bottom two divisions (like i predict they will forever) then all you have to do is buy me a pint - deal?
Its a great idea BTW - Chelsea had something similar a while back - but obviously not to generate funds, but to allow the fans to own the pitch so the ground couldn't ever be sold to developers without every fan who'd bought a piece of the pitch agreeing!!....

City would have to get Gibb pension fund to name their price, and supposedly they are reluctant to talk at this time.

Ok, deal! :D How about we see if Stockport own their own ground in 10 years time and we're still paying extortionate rent? tup:

That weren't the deal - my point is fan owned clubs will never attract significant investment and because of this will remain swimming in the shitpool for eternity until they realise it was a bad idea!!....:)

Who do you think will get there first?
At the moment it looks more like Stocky, but Brentford are scheduled to move to a smart new ground and the debts incurred by the previous owners will be wiped out.
It'll take Trust owned clubs longer to progress than the privately owned ones with their occasional large cash injections, but with profits re-invested and no-one plundering the accounts, it's inevitably that some of the Trust owned clubs will become huge.
It'll take time. Barcelona, Bayern Munich etc didn't get where they are in a day.
Will there be a Premiership five years from now though? Surely Game39 is a first step to relocating clubs abroad.

I know what the deal was! :D and don't be saving your freebie from this year to pay me out when I win!
Why wont they attract significant investment? Because they will make sure that investment does not mean an easy way to skim a quick profit and leave the Club in the shit? Or because all fans are inherently useless at running a business? You do alright so I've heard. ;)

Oh believe me this initiative has also hit heavy ground at Edgeley Park too...! The perennial whingers and doom merchants at the club have complained about not having a cash option, debit card option etc etc...!

get your money out, as I can name you a fan run club that isn't 'bumming it around the lower divisions'
Barcelona...!
Mate, make sure you get him to buy you a season ticket...!

Weve had this discussion mate - Real Madrid are too - as are Bayern Munich - as far as i'm aware though none of those clubs are English - or in the English leagues.....
Fan own clubs in this country won't ever be in that league - you, Chesterfield, Brentford etc......pure European giants....lol
I stand by my comments, you and the others will be bumming around in the bottom two divisions for eternity - or until your club goes back into private hands!!
