Seeing as it's an away game where we aren't expected to get anything we will probably get at least a point (I will predict 1-1), it's the games against the sh*te teams we should hammer where we struggle.

I agree we've got a fair record in recent years at Edgeley, though i remember a couple of 4-1 twattings we got in the early 90's, that twat Francis wreaked absolute havoc.

Should be the usual 1,000 or so there i would imagine. Personally can't go as it's my youngests 1st birthday weekend. Always have enjoyed trips to Edgeley, though last time (Deano scored in a 1-0 win) me and my old man got thrown out of the home end just because the locals were a bit miffed at having away supporters sat amongst them, but the stewards took pity on us and just walked us round the side of the pitch to the open away end behind the goal.

TBH I reckon if Stu plays the Omar up front method it suits us much better against the better sides who will try to play football and create chances.

It's against the teams who defend in two banks of four all game that we come unstuck. I am going and I don't expect anything more than getting beaten but I really wouldn't be that surprised if we got a point or even won. Never been to County before which is somewhat surprising so I'm looking forward to it anyway as I always do with away games.

If the game was at "fortress" VP  then i'd think you'd win easily at the moment.

I predict a 1-1 draw or a slender 2-1 win for County :(

Just glad Kevin Francis doesn't play for you anymore!

To be fair I am 19. Even so I don't know why I've never been as we've played you enough whilst I've been going.

I can only see defeat for City, unless our players are so embarrassed by our home results that they lift themselves for this one - and as we lack leaders on the pitch then yep I'm going for a definite heavyish defeat - perhaps 5-2.
I would not go to this match if someone offered to pay me, the last 3 home defeats from 4 played having sapped my enthusiasm.
I reckon a following of around 900 from Bratfud will make the effort.

Am i right in thinking that was a night game? I seem to have a vague recollection that we played you sometime close to the start of the season August / September. That same season we drew 2-2 at your place, we went 2-1 up in the 88th minutes only for County to equalise about 5 minutes into injury time when a shot that was going wide hit Lee Duxburys arse and deflected over Tomlinsons head. The ref blew the whistle straight from the kick off, the City fans were going mad cos the ref had played far too much injury time, b*stard.

I think we'll grab a point. I'll go for a fairly tight game with the score ending 1-1. Thorne to be the scorer.

Francis & Preece always caused us problems.

Also remember Lee Todd who i liked as a player but injuries ruined his time at VP

so long as we play Nix on the wing instead of in the centre we will be fine. Nix is quality as a winger, but hes not a CM. Play Omar with Thorne. I think we might win it, we seem to do well away from home

Pater Thorne was in my year at school...! Was always going to be the one who would go on and become a pro. There was a lot of lads who looked good as kids but Thorney learned from the best. Under Sutton and Shearer at Blackburn...

Top fella.
