Bullock 6.5 worked his socks off, deservred goal
Rhodes 7.5 good game till he tired
Thorne 7 graftewd well but missed sitter
Daley 7.5 good game by omar tonight

1. Loach 6. got beat a fair bit on his front post first rule of keeping broken
2.Starosta 8 Best game so far for me looked solid
3.Heck 6.5 lack of pace told again but still better than what he was
4.Moncur 7. Solid looks decent at this level
5. Wethers 6.5 Maybe just maybe its time to drop him
6.EJ 7 not as bad as some will make out
7.Colbeck 7.5 Crosses were a massive improvement but still needs to work on passing
8.Bullock 6. Invisible for most of match
9.Thorne6.5 great header for goal but looked very tired throughout
10.Daley 7. started like a tit great goal and good hold up play for another but couldnt be arsed in the last 30mins
11Rhodes 9. Keep him fit and he is a class player in this league


Overall i thought both teams deserved a draw rovrum looked like scoring everytime they went forward but it just wouldnt go in.£ counter attacks 3 goals for us,some good crosses from colbeck and rhodes was brilliant again. Not much to gripe about although I hope billy Topp gets a large fine for his "dive" reminded me of Verveer against scum town so shit it was funny

Loach 6 - Looked shakey at times, hardly made a save, was beaten twice
Starosta 7 - Good solid game
Hecky 6.5 - Lacked pace but plugged away, and even had an effort on goal lol
Moncur 9 - I didnt see him put a foot wrong, made a great last ditch tackle, passing was top class and he is very quick
Wethers 7 - Didnt do much wrong and looked good with moncur
Colbeck 8 - Played very well 2nite
Rhodes 8 - Also played very well but like Colbeck, was absent for 15-20 minutes of second half
Johnson 7 - Made some very good tackles 2nite and put himself about a bit, his passing was a little off at times which is unusual for him
Bullock 6.5 - Did well, good brave header for the goal, but didnt fight enough in the middle of the park
Daley 8.5 - Good runs, good passes, chased the ball (for once) took his goal fantastically and always looked lively
Thorne 6.5 - worked hard all night but couldnt keep up with the pace men lol

Colbeck sounds to have come on in leaps and bounds in the past few months. The last game I saw at VP was against Lincoln and I was impressed how good his build-up play was, but couldn't believe how bad his final ball was -- couldn't cross, couldn't shoot. Sounds to be doing really well now though. Great stuff!

Loach - 7 looks confident, oozes it and helps the defence play better because they aren't worried what's behind them, unlucky to concede 2
Starosta - 7 good on the ball, intelligent use of position and passing, good overlaps and a decent tackler as well
Moncur - 9 read last night's game better than anyone another one unlucky to have 2 goals against his name in defence, good in the air and very comfortable with ball at his feet, my MotM by far
Wetherall - 6 it showed last night, little pace, out of position a few times, and didn't do the only thing we know he's good at, win everything in the air, can't remember him winning a contested header
Heckinbottom - 6 not as outstanding as ben and TJ, but did what he had to without much hassle
Colbeck - 8/5 when he was good he was very good but when he was bad he was awful, pace to burn, good control when he did attack and set 2 up for us but on the negative side has little or no positional awareness when defending, had no left foot to put Thorne or Topp in late second half and doesn't seem to listen to his team-mates, otherwise would have been contender for MotM
Johnson - 6 at least this lad puts his foot in, broke a lot up in the middle and contrary to popular opinion did make some good passes, just let down when not under pressure and pops one across the back four straight to their winger
Bullock - 7 tigerish, big strong lad in there and made the yardage to get up for the headed goal, good player this lad
Rhodes - 8 along with Colbeck this is where our threat is, down the flanks, played awesome for 60 minutes and was dead on his arse then, some great control, good movement and obviously listens and talks to his team-mates being the difference with Colbeck
Daley - 7 another who seems lazy off the ball and loses shape, discipline and position, strolls around, doesn't work hard for his team-mates but has nolittle skill and took his goal well, despite me screaming at him to put Thorne in!
Thorne - 7 worked hard, led the line well, gave the defenders a hard time and it showed as they resorted to shirt-pulling and ankle-kicking to stop him bullying them, should have scored at the death but at least he was there to miss

Topp - 8 piece of magic in the corner earnt him his marks, suffers because he is thinking quicker than those around him, but doesn't put his head down

Nix - 7 another one who looks good, crossing not a problem and good on the ball

Conlon - 6 slow, burly, tall, bald and menacing, a true Kop hero but unfortunately never going to have the pace to trouble most defenders, needs two very good midfielders behind him to get any real chances so that we have numbers in attack and he can pop up with that shiny forehead of hi s and nod one in.

Great game, they played well, we played well after a slow start.
