Catering and club shop query

Do City recieve anything from the club shop and catering deals or did they flog them for a set price with nothing on top?

If the 20k ST plan gets through then these two outsourced suppliers are going to be raking it in. I just hope we make something out of it as well.

If achieved itwill help attract more sponsorship. For the shop and catering contracts it will give City more bargaining power to secure a more lucrative deal in the longer term when they come up for renewal.

Re current deal - I think we get a share of profits over a certain figure.

The original deal with EMC projected a minimum of £2 Million income over 5 years.. that was based on the then average crowd of 8,000+.
I read somewhere that because of the increased crowds this season, revenue was well above budget... and this doesn't include revenue from Surridge.

If the new ST initiative comes to fruition we will be making a good income next season.

I had a look in the shop for the first time in a while on Tuesday, the merchandise is absolutely appalling.

Surely on a fixed contract and with decent numbers at the games Surridge could come up with something better than we have now? Anyone know how long the deal is for?

I was also dissapointed in what was on offer, I had a wad of cash in my wallett and ended up just buying shirts, shorts and socks. Was hoping for a range of dvd's and a few spur of the moment "that's cool/useful" purchases as well.

The "coolest" item in the shop is the 3-pack of thick socks, 1 white pair, 1 grey pair and 1 black pair. The star turn is the black socks because when you take them off, they leave behind a thick coating of black fluff and you look like you have gorilla feet. If you then go to bed unshowered, the bed in the morning looks like a family of cats slept there too. Cool.

I was so impressed with my 3-pack of socks, I bought 2 more on my next trip to VP. The g/f sometimes borrows a pair and we walk around at the end of the day like a couple of werewolves.

As it happens Z I got myself a pack of those socks too. I have a black long haired cat so the mess doesn't bother me!
