Since Stuart departed as a player we have not had a strong leader on the pitch!
Now wethers is going who will take the armband?
Bowser is the obvious candidate but again is too quiet on the pitch for my liking!
Who'd you opt for?

Don't think we have anyone suitable, maybe Bullock if he actually spoke!!

sorry bb, didn't see your post on the captain:)
No obvious candidate for me, very worrying really. As I have said I don't think Wethers has been inspirational.

Clarkes hardly barking orders about from what I've seen but he was captain at Darlo wasn't he?
Im hoping Stu's gonna bring a new midfield general in who will boss people about! tup:

Having the right balance of players in terms of character in the team is more important than who wears a ,largely symbolic, armband, you don't need to be wearing something to inspire or lead players around you.

Evans would be a good call for the rest of the season - but his form was shite - but maybe it's his last chance to prove he's worth another years contract.

I disagree, when things aren't going right, some players need an inspirational leader to raise their heads and spirits... a good captain can be a match saver or winner IMO. Something we haven't had since McCall played.

:
Not possible when Wethers is on the pitch and right next to him..Not his job..
Too many chiefs and all that...
Clark seems the ideal Candidate...
No central midfielder is guranteed a spot so it has to be a centre half..
Clark over Bowser for me..
