Last 172 home league games
Played 172
Won 54
Draw 47
Lost 71
Goals For 222
Goals Against 249
Goal Difference - 27
This goes back to the relegation season in the Premier League, from which we have never really recovered decent home form - best being in 05/06 under the Turd when we gained a magnificent 33 points from 69 available.
We need another 13 points from our remaining 8 games to beat this miserable record, having got 21 so far from a possible 45.
The relegation season in the Premier League saw us gain 19 points from a possible 57.
The relegation season in the Championship saw 21 points from 69.
The relegation season in League One saw 24 points from 69.
I'm off for a brandy now - and don't ask me to do the away stats please

yep it mkaes grim reading - no wonder the crowd get edgy in matches - 7 or 8 seasons of that is enough for anyone.

Yep good idea bill, better to be an immigrant in someone elses country than stand around and wait 2 years and be one here.

The cup fixtures are not going to be pretty reading either.

I am sure that Barry Fry once let his dog have a pee in all 4 corners of St. Andrews when he was manager of Birmingham in order to lift a curse that someone reckoned was jinxing the club. They got promoted that season. I hate dogs so don't have one but i do have a fish. Question is, do fish pee? If so i'll bring the fish tank down for the next home game. Let's at least try something.

To be honest, I don't think the home stats mean anything without the away stats to compare them. All it really says is we've been cack for seven years and been relegated three times. Can't play at home, can't play away. Can't particularly play anywhere. No team has dropped so far so fast, so we're bound to have the worst stats in the league.

some people need reminding though - they will be in the next but one edition of City Gent - "Stats from the Crypt" or some other subtle title - I may also include some other excruciating facts.
