At an extra 61 quid to watch that shite lets say the same amount are sold it would be circa 700k extra and seeing as macca has had vey little money to spend i wonder how much of this he would see.
Personally I wont pay this seasons prices to watch the bucket of gism that ive watched so far this season.

We say that every year dont we ???? Im just getting to the point where there are more important things to do on a saturday the £200 could be spent better than going into the wallets of yet more players who dont give a fuck. In the next 10 years it will be 40 quid a game to watch lower tier football and still there will be people happy to pay it and watch the effortless football we play

 Hang on just one cotton picking minute here.... does this mean that the pre-Christmas season tickets, at £138.00, were not, as stated, a thanks to supporters but really an early bird price... if so why were we not told this

No, Baldwin also said there will be an early bird price before the new full charge will come into effect

The £200 will be the early bird price surely... with more expensive ones being available after a certain time period.
I have already got mine but I don't think £200 is too bad if you're a supporter. I don't go for the quality of football, let's be honest if I cared about that I would have been watching elsewhere a long long time ago.

I agree Lee, but my point is, they were on sale pre-Christmas for £138.00, it was stated to be as a thank you and ideal for a Christmas pressie for a fan, not an early bird price, a time when not too many would be able to afford the extra dosh...

As the 25 year ticket is tied to the "early bird offer" it will be interesting in the deal for next year.

If they put them up from £138, I may well refuse to get one. I can't get to the ticket office very easily - 75 miles or so away, and the online booking didn't work. But the promise of it not being an early bird price meant I wasn't too worried. The club are taking the fans for a ride if they put them up.

That's not the point, it's the club lying to its fans, its lifeblood. Because you're right £138 is damn great value.

Why have they lied about the s/t offer?
They haven't yet but if they put them up from £138 then they have. They said it was NOT an early bird offer. Simply a chance for people to buy season tickets as Christmas presents.

I was under the impression it was an offer to buy them at £138 during December before next seasons prices were introduced?
Why have an "offer" and a "deadline" if they were gonna sell em at the same price next season?
I know the club are lying cnuts but i think people were/are being extremely naive if they thought they were gonna get next season tickets for £138!!!

Lawn always said it was a thank you to the fans and prices would rise due to inflation.
Baldwin said that there will be an earlybird offer announced

There you go!
Its quite plain that the prices were "frozen" during December and he says they were working on the price for next season.

Owt over 150 quid, there'll be no more than 6 thousand in the ground next season. Owt under, those that coughed up at Christmas, thinking they were going to save a wheelbarrow full of money look like chumps. Tricky one innit??

Coming from the man who said the ST wouldnt work i doubt your same same scare tactics will hold any water on here again Dave..
Isnt it about time for your seasonal "we're going into admin, jr has done us over" routine?????????????

This is why I questioned the Christmas deal. They said this was the chance to buy them at last season's prices but I was concerned that at the time they didn't say how much next season's prices would be. I thought that was a bit off.
I don't think I will be getting a season ticket next year. :(

The club said they were adopting low prices as a longer term strategy to get more bums on seats - I can't see they will want to upset that after 1 season - to be honest they can't afford to feck off the fans anymore.

I hardly see it as fecking off the fans, we've just been given the cheapest season tickets in the football league and i think the board have made it clear through hints that the prices would be going up. I can't understand why anybody would think the club were selling 138 quid season tickets at christmas as a special gift and not expect them to put the prices up in the summer.
The kids season tickets will probably be free again, and at under 200 pound an adult ticket is still good value. Bare in mind 2,400 people renewed their tickets at Christmas, you only need 5,000 people (including kids tickets) to get the figure up to 7,500. If people honestly thought this season was THAT bad then the crowds would have dropped off sharpish, and visibly there doesn't appear to be a great deal less people in the ground than we had for the Macc town game. My bet is we'll end up with a season ticket total of around 8,500. Which should ensure us 9,000+ crowds every game. 8-,9000 crowds is hardly gonna affect the atmosphere is it? Its not like the stay aways make much noise at games anyway apart from the occasional jeering.

Inflation is currently at 4.1% (January's figure). That's the Retail price Index not the Consumer Prices Index which the government uses for its targets and anouncements.
If RPI is applied to last year's season ticket prices then this year's early bird offer should be £143.65 if the Club is taking inflation into account as Baldwin said. tup: I'll allow them to round it up to £150! :D
But I'm pleased with the response and maybe it's something we will look to do again next year.
We will be pricing up the season-tickets now, though there will be a real bargain early-bid offer around March time. But we won't be taking it through to August like last time.
Ok is that next year as in next Christmas or next year as in 2008? And by real bargain I would expect considerably less than £200 even if they only hold the offer for a few weeks!
I reckon I'll be paying £150. Work the normal price out for yourselves! ;)

Thought Baldwin had said between £7/£8 - I reckon £160/£165. A rise of £22 - £27 - which is the price of about one game +£2. Not bad - but I was fortunate to persuade the chancellor to buy a couple in December.
