With central midfield being the heart of all our troubles this season - how different would it have been is wethers had not released both Schuey & BMW when they both clearly wanted to stay. Both had many critics for different reasons, yet imo we would have now had one of the best attacking/creative midfields in the league..

To be honest at the time i wasnt over bothered at seeing Schuey go, BMW on the other hand, i thought was a weird one to let go. Along with the departures of Deano & JJ, BMW's injury led to our inibility to create goals and inevitabley saw our decline to relegation. People slagged his heart for the game, but like so many at City, when the going gets tough its the creative/goalscoring players who seem to kop the fury of the fans (Summerbee, Windass & now Daley), BMW has now gone on to Carlisle to propve he would of been a big player for us in this division.

I know this is all pie in the sky but i doubt we'd be sat in the lower reaches of L2 at the moment if our midfield had consistently been.......

LM - Nix
CM - Schuey
CM - BMW
RM - Daley

Sorry but Schuey was crap and Nix is not a left winger. MBW would be overrun and Daley would only show up half the time.

I think we'd do worse with that than if Bullock was in there, at least with him we've got some much needed presence and someone who can get his foot in which we've needed for ages.

Agree with Lee, i like Bullock but he's doing the job on his own. No help or creativity from Evans, Penford or Johnson who all vanish for large periods of games

Agree Lee tup:

BMW was a disgrace for most of last season, when the going got tough and some of the younger ones needed an example, BMW disappeared EJ style tdwn:

How the fcuk did Wetherall release Schuey and BMW anyway?

It was a decision to cut costs by ML and JR, getting two big earners off our books who hadn't performed!

Your becoming obsessed with Wetherall Beer, im starting to get worried

To be honest I thought our midfield were lacking last season - wide and central after JJ went. It has been for some time.

We need a midfield general, box to box player who can tackle. We cannot but one of the shelf - so we are going to have to scout one and pick them up for nothing - next nothing. I am hoping Stuart has identified a target.
Re Bullock the jury is still out on hiom for me based on the last two performances - given with what he has been asked to do is not working / or he is not up to it - hopefully just a blip! Nicky Law playing alongside him might have been interesting combination and could have been the answer.
