I have never seen anything like this country. The coast on the west is incredible. You can walk up to the top of this Preikestolen ("pulpit") and there is no fence of any kind 650 metres up overlooking the fjord. It's near Stavanger.

I didn't make it up that far. You have to walk the last bit I only got as far as the cafe at the end of the road, which is about a 2-hour return walk from the Preikestolen. I had no walking shoes and a small child in a rucksack on my back. I didn't feel up to the hike. Apart from being shit-scared of heights.

I watched a documentary about the bloke who invented the winged suit and it was fantastic viewing.In my late teens,early 20s i would have had a go at that,but you lose your bottle as you grow older,so i doubt i would even consider doing it today.
