I can't believe how bad the decisions were today. Just gets worse every single weektdwn:. You know it's bad when a women in the crowd is shouting how the offside rule works toward the linesmen. :sorry:

3rd goal was a mile offside. The bloody Lino on the Midland Road side didn't even keep up with the ball so how on earth he could make any sort of decent offside decision I never know.

First goal should have been a free kick to City . Then, when the ball was played in , the lad controlled it with his hand before scoring

It took the linesman on the Midland Rd side 85 mins before he made a decision of his own for a offside against Conlon that was wrong anyway! tdwn:

These cnuts (lino's) actually get paid to be at the game yet most of them haven't got the balls to give a decision ffs!

It might as well be like Sunday league....get a lino from the crowd and leave the offsides ect... to the Referee ;)

3rd goal was onside. Benjamin was stood offside when the ball was crossed but made no attempt to go for it. He was back onside when the ball was headed on to him.

Don't like the current interpretations of the offside law, you just have to look at Blackburns equilizer against Man City the other day to see how confusing they are.

I'm startng to get a bit sensitive about all this lino slagging....my team's shit, the wife's in a huff , the chances of watching MOTD are looking slim so please refer to these complete wankpots as referee's assistants.

Come off it Gaydie the ref was fooking awful. There are plenty of posts describing how shite the players were if you'd care to post in those.

If you think the officials were bad, and not being there I can't argue (although I listened to your own commentary which said the best side won), I can only warn you that the Conference officials are a damn site worse. The linos never give self-opinions they wait for the refs, half of which are blind and the rest don't know the basic rules. Basically its a VERY difficult league to escape from so PLEASE don't go there !!!!

ps Theo Robinson is regularly caught offside but not Benji, he's not a big fan of moving for no gain so....

It sounds like the lino's were from the Conference then ;)

well I thought the refv on boxing day was very good. one dodgy off side but that was down to the linesman but apart from that I thought the 3 had a really good game.\

can't comment on today though

Officials in most football codes are usually crap these days. The players have to be better than that.NZ were put out of the Rugby World Cup by some blatent bad reffing decisions, yet in my view, the team should never have been in a position where some bad calls would make THAT much difference.Cheers.

I thought we played a lot worse against Lincoln and won.

I also thought we deserved at least a point from yesterdays game and the stats certainly back up my believe. ;)

:From the Sporting life website:

Bradford vs Hereford

10 Shots On Target 8
7 Shots Off Target 4
16 Fouls (Conceded) 8
3 Corners 5
2 Yellow Cards 1
0 Red Cards 0

I know stats can be misleading at times but it hardly looks like we were battered yesterday, does it?

I am sure Bantam of the Opera will have his this in his records - have we not come a cropper with this ref before in an away game - it may have been last season - but I recall his name and that he came from the NE. Having said that though he had a shocking first half - he was not helped by his "assistant referees"

You mean the one on the Midland Road side who wouldn't raise his flag until the referee made a decision?

When He did manage to make a decision for himself in the 85th minute for a offside by Conlon.......he got it wrong!

Fooking priceless! :ban:

BfB has a scathing attack on the officials.

Maybe glossing over the team's failings but those who weren't there can take a guess at how unbelievably crap they were.

After we beat Lincoln I was still annoyed after the game at the way we'd played but wiping the smile off Jacko's face made up for it ;)

Yesterday my anger was like BFBs aimed purely at the "officials" who IMO cost us a draw at the very least.

Thats why I found it strange that people who'd been to the game yesterday were slagging the players off???

The officials are comparatively bad in all leagues!

When we relegatedVfrom the Prem to the Championship i noticed it, Not a lot but it was noticeable. Unlike the drop to L2 in which i thought the refs were scandalous. Too many to mention but EJ's goal which was disallowed for offisde when it came off their player clear and obvious to everyone except the lino who had given some scandalous offsides in the first half. Now in L2 i have come to accept that we will have the worst refs we have had for 20 years..........every week.

As the Hereford poster said its even grimmer in the blue square, so lets hope we can stay up at the very least!

If you speak to the scum fans as well they even say that they can't believe how bad the refs are in L1

The decisions leading up to the first goal were terrible but, as McCall says in the T&A report, you can't blame the officials for our failure to deal with set-pieces.

The problem is that refs are pretty much untouchable! Untill referees are made accountable or told to give answers for certain decisions the problems are going to stay the same.
A good point made my deano in his book is the fact people want ex players as refs. A good idea but the problem the ex players have is that they have to start right at the bottom and the abuse these ex pros get off the park players makes them decide against it. Maybe their should be a fast tracking scheme of some variaty.
BUT just because they are ex players doesnt mean they will definatly make better refs.

More stats from the OMB ;)

Possession:

City 53% Hereford 47%

Hardly a team penned in their own half and hammered the whole game is it?

I agree with Stu though...we were bullied at set-pieces by Herefords big players....we should have got tough but the players didn't have the bollocks :(

Stil, we would have had a point if the linesman had have turned up! tdwn:

Agree

The players could have put more effort but at times when they tried to give it back the ref awarded free kicks against them - he made it an uphill battle from the start.
